Friendly Staff
I work in the Arndale, the environment gets a bit stale after being there for some time. It was nice to see some gregarious staff members, all enthusiastic. Especially Gonçalo whom was receptively cordial and welcoming
Yo Sushi will always be one of my favourite places to eat. Yummy food and great service is a regular occurrence here, but especially on today’s visit! Sarah C. was very attentive and made sure we had everything we wanted, and was all around just lovely! Thanks Sarah!
I don’t eat in many chains and of course, I wouldn’t pick Yo! Sushi over a top independent sushi bar but they’re great at what they do.
Their sushi is prepared in full view of diners with decent quality ingredients. And there’s always something zooming past on conveyor belts to for you to grab straight away if you’re in a rush.
Starting with ‘Potato Salade’, not something I’d associate with Japanese cuisine but apparently an Izakaya classic (Izakaya are Japanese gastro-pubs).
Similar to our own potato salad but with a Japanese mustard mayo dressing and pickled vegetables.
I can’t order sushi without having some ‘Inari’.
Sushi rice is stuffed inside sweet parcels made from bean curd. They might sound weird, they even look a bit weird but they’re so good.
There are some unusual creations on the new menu that stray from traditional sushi dishes.
Like ‘Dynamite’, salmon and avocado ISO rolls (inside out, as the rice is on the outside) topped with chilli oil and my favourite condiment sriracha.
Not one for the purists but tastes great and has a real kick.
Incredibly welcoming staff. A lovely atmosphere and as always an incredible array of food. The Yo fries are a must buy!
This was our first YO! experience. I’ve had conveyer belt sushi and other chains etc in the past but just never tried YO! We’d definitely have it again or at least at our local one.
It was pretty decent. Everything was fresh and tasty. If you’re like me and keep adding more and more plates of different colours to try the price can rack up quick 😂 Was fairly pricey but sushi / fish is pricier everywhere.
We went on a weekday lunch time and it was quiet and relaxed. Staff were friendly.
You could easily pop in for a quick bite on a lunch break and not spend too much, or have a full dining experience. Caters to all.
Would recommend trying if you like sushi. 🍱
We enjoyed our meal here, but the service was a little slow with our drinks arriving after the food. It's not got much of an atmosphere which is probably more down to its location than anything else. We'd go back because the food is pretty consistent each time we visit.
Great Lunch Spot! Food was lovely, service was good. Just with all Yo Sushi! Dishes are pricey so bill wracks up quickly.
Exceptional sushi experience in Yo! Fresh flavors, cozy ambiance – a definite must-try for sushi enthusiasts :) Thanks for your tastes!
Yo sushi is the most easiest and convenient way to enjoy good quality sushi and Japanese cuisine. The food is delicious and very quick to come to you. They have a new online ordering system at the table that makes ordering and paying a lot more efficient and smooth. Overall lovely restaurant, not 5 simply due to price
Food always fresh and tasty. Kids loved watching the dishes pass them. Little slow with drinks service. Use blue light card for 20% off.
First time visiting Yo Sushi and paid £4 via Too Good to Go. A bit annoyed that they changed the collection time several times but the magic bag compensated it. We received a TokYo! Mix and a Yo! Roll in a bag for one person. Fresh sushi and good quality of ingredients used for this price. It was filling for the both of us too.
Would definitely come back again using Too Good to Go deal.
The restaurant is very clean and pretty. The staff are very welcoming. I had to order online by scanning the QR code on the table, this is a new method at the restaurant due to COVID-19.
I loved my dish (beef teriyaki and rice), although it was smaller than what I expected. The firefly drink was nice too. I would definitely revisit the restaurant.
For those who like sushi, this is a very good place and they will enjoy it very much, the food was very fresh and delicious, you can order food from the waiter or you can choose and take the sushi dishes yourself from the rotating bar. The color of the plates is different, which indicates the price of food .At the end, they count the number of dishes and their colors, for example, the price of each purple dish is 5-6£.
It was a pleasant experience, pleasant service, we enjoyed the conveyor belts and everything was explained fully and the food was very nice particularly the miso soup. We had one instance where my child cut her lip because they broke a glass bottle when opening it but they were very apologetic and gave us the drink free
My first time at Yo Sushi!
After ordering on the app, drinks/food is sent on the smart conveyor belt, stopping at your table. Neat!
I got about 90% vegan dishes, and they were all delicious (see the pic I’ve uploaded). This is specific, but I absolutely love the nori. There were several things on the 99p Menu offering fantastic value.
