This was my second visit to Dishoom. The first time was in London, and I didn't have the best experience. However, this time, I visited with a group of colleagues—seven of us in total—and the experience was much better. The service was fast and friendly, and the food was delicious. We all enjoyed the meal.

Eating at Dishoom was an excellent experience. The food was delightful and flavoursome, the atmosphere was lively and the service was great from the front door. You will not leave this place hungry! Special mention must go to our waitress Rebecca - honestly a true professional and a credit to the team at Dishoom, extremely attentive, made some great recommendations and made us feel that she genuinely cared about our experience.

Make a reservation as the restaurant gets very crowded even on a weekday. A group larger than 10 will have to order their group feast menu which is a good sample of the items they have on the menu. They have quite a large dining area with different sections. We managed to get a table for 15 of us and they sit us together. Good food and good service.

I’ve been to this place for the office party. We were there around 30ppl and the arrangements were good to have in one place. Food was good, bit lagging spicy but the restaurant try to make English Indian food. Staffs were very polite, I went for extra chillies twice while having food to match the spice level. Hindi song was playing in the background and there were photographs all around to give Indian vibe. Overall good.

Team event celebrating a birthday. The evening was truly delightful. ambiance was perfect for our celebration – the cozy yet elegant atmosphere created a warm and inviting space for our team to enjoy. One small point of feedback would be regarding the timing of the courses. While we understand the importance of pacing, there were moments when the intervals between courses felt a bit lengthy. Perhaps a slight adjustment in the timing could enhance the overall dining experience. On the whole, our team had an incredible time, and the birthday celebrant felt truly special. Kudos to the kitchen team.

Wow. This place has really tasty authentic Indian food. Everything is on the pricier side of Indian restaurant food but the flavours help make up for that. Highly recommend the chicken biryani and the Gunpowder potatoes. Best potatoes I’ve ever had! Portion sizes were only just acceptable for the price, but any smaller would have been worrying. The biryanii was just enough for two or generous for one. Two glasses of house wine for £27 was a surprise though. Our fault for not checking the wine menu. The coconut rice pudding was a delight, think Indian crème brûlée. I’d go back for sure. One negative, it’s too dark in the ladies toilets hence can’t really retouch makeup. Quite dark in the restaurant too but I guess that adds to the colonial Indian atmosphere

Just had a wonderful evening at Dishoom, a birthday treat and gift from our children. The food was good, the atmosphere energetic and vibrant, but the star of the evening was our server Alejandro from Seville, who guided us through the menu, helped us with selections and then arranged for a lovely birthday sweet to finish off. A great evening, mucho gracias Alejandro.

Dining at this place was a true highlight on my trip to Manchester. The building and decor are fascinating, the staff are experts and hugely efficient and welcoming. But the star of the show is the sensational food. The spicy lamb chops were ruddy majestic and the other dishes too!! What an unforgettable treat. Cheers Dishoom.

Amazing Indian restaurant, must try the Jackfruit Biryani if you are vegetarian. Loved the place and atmosphere. Quick service and friendly staff. The authentic taste of India can be experienced here. The menu has a wide variety of dishes. Will surely visit again and recommend. Always book in advance as walk in reservation will lead to long waiting time.

First time here and won't be our last. I have been in Manchester with work, walking past Dishoom every day for 4 days. It's always busy with people coming and going. Just had to experience it for myself. After a short wait for a table late on Friday we were seated and certainly not disappointed! Atmosphere was noisy and full of bustle, it was alive! The food was unbelievable!! Served fresh and made for sharing, it gave us a lovely immersive experience. The decor was traditional and steeped in history, it had just the right amount of unusual old fashioned pictures and the toilet really does say it all! The bar has been set very high for future bombay meal experiences.
