Bring your own. Perfect sourdough. Delicious, wide range of toppings to chose from. Excellent, friendly service. It can be very busy and hard to get a table but that’s just a sign of how good it is!

The pizza here is just phenomenal. Just go. Make a booking if it's a weekend night as it gets very busy. It's a cash only restaurant and bring your own alcohol. There's a 10% of the bill corkage charge so bear that in mind when you're working out what you'll need to spend! Don't go anywhere else for pizza. Go here.

Pizza was pretty tasty but too soft for my palette. That being said my husband really liked it. My husband likes soft pizza but I like it extra crispy- NY style. This place serves their pizza on the soft side. Great environment, reasonably priced. Remember to bring cash.

We heard so much about this pizza place from a friend and decided to take another who just loves pizza here last night. Luckily we booked because it was already busy at 6:30pm. Our slot was until 8pm so we were happy to find out that the menu proudly says that their pizzas are made and cooked in the traditional Napoli style in an oven at 450oC for only 90 seconds! The menu had just the right amount of pizza flavours and included some non traditional toppings such as pineapple, chicken and some traditional ones we don't usually did like that really spicy sausage paste Nduja and Scamozza (type of melts mozzarella, not the smokey type though). I went for the Rustica - I love a bit if artichoke on my pizza! It was delicious! The grilled aubergines were thickly sliced, the sundried tomatoes were no overly salty and the artichokes were fresh and did not come from a jar! My pizza loving friend went for the Ruspante and she enjoyed the thick slices of mushrooms, chicken and strips of pancetta. She especially loves crust and she ate every bit of her pizza and the crust I left behind because "it's probably the best pizza I had in a while!" The boys went for meaty ones and tried meatballs, chorizo, and the Calabrese spicy sausage and Italian sausage on the Toscana pizza. The verdict was that the toppings were top notch and nobody left a single bite! Because two of our friends arrived late, our waitress was getting a bit impatient/stressed but there was really no need to rush us because the pizzas really did come out the oven in no time at all! The place was packed and there were a lot of children (because they have a kids offer of Margherita with 2 toppings and a juice for £5) and so there were quite a few chunks of pizza on the floor. We brought our own alcohol (10% of your bill as corkage fee) and were swiftly brought glasses, however, they were all a bit unclean - think their glass washer needs a clean! Some of these points made me want to knock off a star but they WERE really busy and the pizzas WERE amazing and I was glad they allowed bookings so I'm giving them 5 stars! Would deffo recommend Floriana A. and everyone else who loves a good southern Italian pizza to try it!

Great atmosphere, delicious food, friendly staff. I love this place! Before popping in I couldn't tell if this was a restaurant or a pizza shop - for clarity, it's a restaurant but you can order for takeaway. They don't deliver though. It was pleasantly busy on a Wednesday night at about 9pm, with two other tables of four and six, and us two. Staff brought over menus and gave us the heads up that it's BYOB. They didn't mention a corkage fee and I didn't notice one on the bill, although another reviewer has said it's 10%. We paid just over £35 for burrata, two (huge) pizzas, and tiramisu. Burrata was excellent and came with parma ham, melon and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar. The pizzas we ordered were the Tropical (ham and pineapple) and the Sarda (sausage, roast potato and rosemary). As Rich stated in his review they were a bit messy to eat. The base was a lot sturdier at the edge than in the middle so not really easy to pick up and eat by the slice. Perhaps if we'd gone for fewer toppings it might have been easier? We shared both pizzas and the toppings were all delicious. Roast potatoes on a pizza is like my dream come true. We failed at finishing them and so they're currently in the fridge waiting to be our lunch. The tiramisu was on the small side but very rich and tasty. I enjoyed it a lot. Rich discovered that he does not, in fact, hate tiramisu, so that was a success. Overall I really like and recommend this place and think it's a wonderful addition to Chorlton.

Double Zero is by far one of the best pizzas I've eaten outside of Napoli. First things first, though. Double zero is a grade in the Italian system of grading the fineness of flour that is used to make pizza, pasta etc. The numbers are 2, 1, 0 and 00 from coarsest to finest (in case you're interested). OK, now, the place. Double Zero has been done up to give it a rustic, rural Italian feel. It appears all their ingredients come from Italy. They have the pizza oven specially imported from Italy. The pizza maker is Italian also. They don't do alcoholic drinks there but they have a bring your own booze policy and they have some sort of a corking charge, which is 10% (of the total bill, I presume). We were a group of five adults and we ordered, cheese & garlic breads and focaccia for starter, and two margaritas, a primavera, a calzone and another pizza whose name I can't remember. The breads and the focaccia were fluffy and had a very pleasant texture to them. My cheese & garlic bread came out burnt (but that's only cos my Italian friend was busy distracting the chef). Told the waiter about the burnt bread and got another one, cooked to perfection (after exactly however long it takes to do that). The pizzas and the breads were made in front of our eyes (a few feet away) and from what I saw, the chef wasn't using excessive flour to counter the extra moist dough (which is always a good sign). If I am not being very clear, next time you order a dominos pizza, if you observe carefully, you will see little grains of baked flour resembling fine grains of sand. There was none of that on our pizzas. The margaritas were very well made, the sauce was neither too sweet nor too sour, the cheese was rich and flavoursome and the crust was well cooked and easily tearable with a fork and a knife. It was neither hard that meant your knife landed in the neighbouring table nor was it so elastic that you played a cheap imitation of a Beethoven symphony with the knife and the plate. The crust was cooked to perfection! I must also mention that the pizza felt baked as opposed to fried, which can happen sometimes when they add oil to the dough. Basically, the food was fantastic. The service was pretty decent and we had a waiter who was friendly, patient and polite. All the other staff were very friendly too. They also accept card payments and you can get a take out. They don't do deliveries. Based on tonight's experience I definitely recommend Double Zero. As with everywhere else, I sincerely hope they continue to make Neapolitan quality pizzas and retain the very good levels of service we were subjected to tonight.

Excellent pizza! The best I've had outside Italy and certainly the best I've had in the Manchester area, including Rudy's (which is also fantastic). I went with my boyfriend on a Friday evening. We called a bit beforehand to try to reserve but unfortunately they take a limited number of reservations in order to save a few tables for walk-ins. I was told that we would just have to show up and see, which was fine. When we arrived we were told it would be a 45 minute to an hour wait. We were okay with that and went to the bar next door (Strange Brew) to wait. This restaurant is BYOB with a "corkage" fee (is it really called this in the UK given the general lack of corks?) of 10% of the total bill. We bought a bottle of wine at the supermarket across the street to enjoy with our meal and that won us a nice savings. We returned after the specified wait time and there was a table ready for us. The restaurant has a rustic Italian vibe with an authentic wood fire stove. The staff was very friendly and we were well attended to. I had the special that night which consisted of a pizza with mushrooms, spinach, and ricotta cream sauce. It was FANTASTIC. My boyfriend ordered the roasted veggie calzone which was very good as well. The place was busy, but our food wasn't long to arrive. Unfortunately we weren't able to sample either the starters or desserts, which looked very good, as the portions are large. Both the pizza and calzone were £12. TL;DR - FANTASTIC pizza, BYOB, reserve early or come expecting to wait a spell. I will certainly be returning soon!

A welcome addition to the chorlton scene. The decor is rustic and pleasant with bright yellow leatherette seats. There's outdoor seating at the front although it's a bit squeezed in spots. I had a siciliano pizza with fennel sausage and dollops of ricotta on a thin crispy base. I enjoyed mine, especially the sausage. My friend had primavera pizza with rocket and parmesan shaving. She enjoyed it but thought it was a bit too salty. We only had pizza as they'd run out of raspberry sorbet and also the Panna cotta. Strangely I wasn't in the mood for chocolate tiramisiu, which puzzled me. The service was very friendly but a bit scatty at times. He did seem pretty busy though. In fact considering it was a Monday at 8 the place was pretty full.

One of the better pizzas I've eaten in a while. We shared a ham and pineapple along with a sausage and roast potato which was as good as you should be thinking it sounds. It's byob which we didn't know but there's a co-op literally over the road so this didn't cause me to halt my birthday drinking for more than a few minutes. I kind of want to give it 4.5 stars as the pizza was a little too messy if you wanted to slice it up and eat it that way but 1. As mentioned this may be my fault as I was fairly drunk 2. I should probably be more classy anyway 3. The staff and service was very good and 4. I paid on card and then realised we had about 56p in change with which to leave a tip so I felt a little guilty afterwards. In the end though it was great and I'll be heading back there very soon to sample more of the menu so yeah...full marks from me!

One of the best pizzas I've had since the last time I was in Italy! I had the Bianca Neve, which was a white pizza with portobello mushrooms, mozzarella and truffle oil. The sourdough cooked in the wood fire oven was absolutely amazing. Would definitely come back soon!

Big statement incoming....... Best Neapolitan pizza I have ever had! . Starters were amazing. Food was soo fresh. Bring your own beer was a great bonus. Staff were very polite and friendly. Service did get a little slow towards the end and the inside sounds quite loud after a while. Can't fault the food in any way. Will be returning for sure !

Had an fantastic time trying out some seriously great pizza in Chorlton. Loads of options on the menu, but we went for the meatballs to share, then each of us had the volcano pizza – absolute flavor explosion! The food and service were spot on. Definitely suggest booking ahead due to the popularity of the restaurant

Excellent pizzeria recommended by friends. Very busy - we booked a table for six and they were full on a Thursday evening. The garlic pizza as a starter is delicious - the base is so soft and beautifully cooked (large so recommend to share 1 between 2 or 3 persons). All our pizzas were great, including a gluten free pizza. Bring your own wine (corkage fee).

Despite having a great love for pizza, I'd never had a Neopolitan before. So when my friend casually suggested we pay a visit to Double Zero, a couple of us went along. I didn't have any expectations, as I was just there to eat pizza, but as soon as I took the first bite...it completely blew me away!!! The flavours and taste were absolutely delicious. The trip triggered a newfound love for Neopolitan pizza for me, and if I'm given the option to pick where to eat, I always pick a Neopolitan pizza place. Despite having tried dozens, Double Zero set the bar high on my debut and I've yet to find a place that can match it. It's a lovely place with a relaxed environment. The staff, led by Ben are really friendly. I look forward to going many more times and am excited to visit their new branch once it opens! 🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕

Simple is good Best italian pizza in UK, and seriously, big brands can learn from Double Zero. Fantastic service! One thing what they should work on, is food decoration, absolute drama...I can recommend Google for some ideas. Smashed buratta covered by glaze balsamic vinegar, served on cold as ice bread it's a criminal offence !!! I will definitely be back for more pizza and will spread the word about great service. Thanks Doube Zero

Fabulous pizza place with very attentive and helpful staff. The tiger striping on the pizza was spot on and the range of interesting and innovative flavour combos you can go for on such a small menu is staggering. Delicious pizza and the Antipasti starter was equally yum. It's BYOB so either soft drinks (whose range could be a bit wider) or pop by one of the local shops to get some wine or beer prior to coming. Will most definitely be returning

Excellent pizzas front and centre of 00s offering. Loads of choice and genuine Italian toppings (apart from chorizo what's that doing there?) - nduja, fennel sausage, hot honey superb. Well priced, and starters even better value, arancini being the standout - 3 for £6 insane. We had a delay on mains as it was busy on a Saturday and all walk-ins were politely turned away, but staff genuinely apologetic and did more than just say sorry. Truly worth all of its high praise, of the dozen or so side by side eateries here 00 was by far the busiest.

The BEST pizza I have ever had in a UK restaurant. Dough is to die for. The toppings were plentiful and fresh but not an overloaded. Can’t recommend this place enough. It is a smaller venue so it was a little noisy inside but can’t be helped.

Amazing pizza, it’s in my top 3 Manchester pizzas for sure! Very authentic and a very varied menu. The fact that it’s BYOB makes it even better so quite a cheap night out in the end! The staff were very welcoming. Only reason I give it 4 stars is that the restaurant itself isn’t very inviting, not the type of place you could sit for a couple of hours, it feels a little more like an in and out restaurant, not very cosy and quite small. Great place for a casual dinner and a great pizza!

So I ventured out of town to the famous ‘Double Zero Pizza’ to see what all the fuss was about. On arrival the restaurant is packed and smells amazing. Our table isn’t ready just yet so we hung round outside perusing the menu. This restaurant doesn’t have a bar license so make sure you take a few drinks if you want alcohol. Very friendly staff got us seated asap. We had a cute table on the patio. Atmosphere was bustling, lots of chatter and laughter, great to be in the middle of! We ordered starters, we went for the Beef Ragu arancini and the Fig crostinis. The arancini was amazing. Like AMAZING. Best I think I’ve ever had. Had the perfect flavour balance, not to dry, not too wet, WOW! Crostinis were great as well but came with balsamic, which I’m personally not a huge fan of. Still a fantastic dish and I’d order again. I had the Volcuno pizza which had roasted Jalapeños and hot honey. The pizza was delicious. The dough was very tasty. The only small issue was the very centre of the pizza was still raw. I could see the gluten stretching! Still this didn’t bother me too much, I was enjoying my meal so I just ate around it. Staff were attentive and very friendly throughout, really great service. We decided to go for dessert, we ordered a tiramisu and pistachio gelato. Obviously I got a coffee too. Tiramisu was gorgeous, I’d go back just for that. Had such a fluffy lightness, chefs kiss! Gelato was also delicious and paired delightfully with my expresso. Overall fantastic venue with authentic Italian food and great staff. What’s not too like?!

The pizza is amazing and the price is good, but it is so incredibly noisy here on a Saturday - I think because of the tiled walls and the open kitchen, and the music doesn't help. Not a place to go if you want to talk to your friends. Service was great, staff lovely, but I wouldn't go back at the weekend. Very tightly packed tables, narrow entrance walkways and heavy narrow doors mean this is unlikely to be an easy fit for a wheelchair or anyone with mobility issues.

Amazing Italian style pizza and love that it's BYOB. The large vegetarian platter was enough for 4 for a starter. Would recommend the cacciatora pizza!

Love this place amazing pizza and atmosphere every time. Service excellent, staff so friendly and food comes at a good time. Perfect atmosphere for a meal with friends or family or a date. You can get the pizza with a thicker or thinner base which I love because it suits every mood! Photo attached is the thinner base, unfortunately didn't capture the whole pizza as we got too excited and forgot to take a picture before digging in xD

You know when you just want a really good pizza and you have this idea in your head of how this pizza should taste!! Well @double_zero_pizzeria certainly didn't disappoint. Situated in Chorlton, Double 00 is a busy place. We were lucky enough to get a table. The inside and outside were packed with happy customers. Such a good vibe. The menu looked great but all I wanted was pizza and I didn't want to spoil it. We ordered: Margherita Bufala with fresh Rocket & Napoli. We had quick friendly service and the pizzas were huge. Pizzas were nicely and evenly topped and the crust was fluffy. We chose the honey chili dip and the garlic parsley butter dip for our crusts. Can't fault their pizzas and looking forward to going back. Some points to know: Parmesan isn't vegetarian so make sure to mention any dietary requirements. Chicken is halal. They don't serve alcohol but customers can bring their own. I would recommend booking if you're a larger group as these guys are extremely busy from open.

For me better than Rudy's (although Rudy's is AMAZING TOO 🙌) it might be down to personal preferences but this one is just tinny bit thicker, holds better and the dough has soooo much flavour 😱 Highly recommended the Mezzaluna experience or the other choice of chorizo and chicken with optional(yet mandatory 😜) hot honey dip. Excellent service and you can bring your own booze making this place even more appealing 🫶 not to mention they are very reasonably priced.

Excellent pizza. I tried the Vulcano - splendid. The size of the pizza is massive and you'd easily feel full with it. Very quick service and cheerful staff. Phones half hour before going and was able to get a table. Was very busy for a Tuesday night. Recommend booking in advance. Overall highly recommended - one of the best pizza's.
