My wife took me here for a birthday lunch. It didn't disappoint. The food was exceptional. Each of the 9 dishes delivered an explosion of flavours. Service was excellent - the staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. Aiden even delivered one of the dishes. The goats cheese tart (and accompanying sour dough and butters) was a thing of beauty. Just perfection. The atmosphere was really relaxed - it's fine dining in a non-stuffy way. The whole experience was first class. I can't wait to return.

A beautiful restaurant with very attentive service and Aiden Byrne was there cooking (always a good sign). The food was excellent and we all thought the tasting menu was great value for money, both in terms of quality and quantity. We particularly enjoyed the scallops, the mushroom and artichokes (thought this might be a filler course but it really wasn't) and the Manchester Tarts! All beautifully presented and well thought out. We'll definitely go back, can't think of a single reason why we wouldn't!

We had the 9 course tasting menu and we left absolutely stuffed. Having eaten in a lot of great restaurants, I would put this place towards the top of my list. We had great service with a friendly approach and couldn't fault it at all. One course seemed a strange fit, as it seemed more like a pudding, but it was delicious none the less. Overall great experience and would highly recommend for a trip to Manchester

Went for the 9 course taster menu for a wedding anniversary celebration. Husband had the accompanying wine flight which he really enjoyed. I had cocktails and the elderflower cocktail in particular was fab. The food is absolutely fantastic. Best food I’ve eaten in Manchester. Staff were brilliant. Would definitely recommend.

Went for the 6 course veggie tasting menu last month and really enjoyed it! Top food and great service. It’s expensive but worth it!

Challenge yourself. If you're a foodie there is nothing not to like, apart from the bill, but you get what you pay for. It doesn't have to be too expensive; take an SO, do lunch, drink water and you'll be happy. We didn't this time but it was my birthday.

Popped along for a valentines treat lunch and it did not disappoint. Creative, beautifully presented and absolutely delicious with a great wine pairing to go alongside. The decor is a little odd with fibre optic lighting over the pass and then rustic copper fittings in the restaurant and some sort of shabby chic bathrooms but this is easy to overlook when the food and service are so outstanding.

Relaunched Manchester House, now MCR, is serving up innovative and exciting food that's only let down by a pretty average front of house service. Pricing has come down considerably vs. the previous restaurant so it's worth checking out the menu if that put you off. Aiden Byrne was personally plating up on the night we went and even served us one of his dishes which made the night really special. Front of house staff served some really average looking and tasting cocktails, constantly swapped our server and presented us with some dusty looking glasses. All things I'm sure they can work on and shouldn't put you off giving it a go.

Fantastic food and so accommodating to my dietary requirements. I have eaten here twice this year and found the service and quality to be on point each time.

Absolutely sublime. Everything about the entire experience, from beginning to end, was fabulous. With a reasonably low number of covers, the restaurant had a wonderfully intimate feel to it. The food was simply outstanding and the passion with which the chefs explained the dishes only enhanced the experience; these guys are true culinary artists. Good value for money, professional hospitality and incredible food in the perfect setting; we will certainly be returning.
