What a gem of a proper country pub, we (6 of us) called in for Sunday lunch, although we hadn't booked we were able to get a table. The food and service was really good.

Really friendly pub just of the Brecon Canal. Great service, great food and amusing toilets seats. We visited twice on holiday as my husband was chuffed to find a place that still serves food in baskets lol.
If I could, I would give this place six stars. The food is simply delicious (every piece of meat is from local farmers and you can taste the difference) including homemade desserts. The service is very nice and helpful so what do you waiting for?!

Wonderful little pub in stunning countryside! Food is fab and drinks in the huge beer garden is a must. Lovely views, great staff and friendly locals. Take a walk along the canal, then have a refreshing pint afterwards.. Perfect!

Great pub but had to wait ages to order food staff not at all helpful as manager was away at the time tried to order coffees was told kitchen shut. They could have offered instant coffee but was not the case. Food is very nice manager lovely I bet she would be angry at her staff for their behaviour

Park next to the Star Inn and go for a wonderful walk up the canal to Goytre Wharf and then return back for a lovely pint and lunch.

Cozy little pub along the Brecon/Monmouthshire canal. Great chance to walk to the Folly and finish with a drink. Covid rules still require booking, which is hard when walking due to planning time.
