Most importantly, this pub serves great ale. You never fail to get a perfect pint of Landlord here.
The food portions, as others have mentioned, are massive. Whale and chips are particularly good value and always great and tremendous value for money.
Finally, again as oft mentioned, the building i
Lovely Sunday dinner. Roast beef was rare enough to be super tender and no complaints with the pork or lamb either. Plenty of fresh vegetables and onion gravy for those who wanted it. Will definitely be visiting again in the future
Brilliant pub. Landlady is lovely, and the pub itself has a wonderful atmosphere. Very traditional. Lovely food as well.
Had Sunday lunch with my wife and son and enjoyed a traditional roast. Never been before but it was convenient and got good reviews. We weren't disappointed as the food was hot tasty and plentiful. This is a traditional local pub offering excellent value and friendly service. I got the impression
Excellent Roast beef Sunday lunch. My wife enjoyed the roast lamb. Very good value for money. The Blue Ball also has a good selection of beers and lager. A very snug place, well worth a visit.
Absolutely amazing Seafood Paella, crammed full of juicy, fresh, plump seafood, fabulous tasting, without doubt the 'best' I've ever had.....and for an incredible £9.95, all washed down with well kept beer.
Thanks so much to Chris & Gary
This is the best pub, the best beer and the best food in Malton. This pub should be the food capital as the rest of Malton is pedestrian and slightly snobby at time, though I fail to see why?) apart from monthly markets which are great.
I see someone turned up late for food. What a shame. Even kitch
Lovely cosy pub with great food. Although listed in Camera guide it has a very limited limited selection of real ales due to the tiny size of the bar.
What a great, old style, local pub.
Great interior, not grand, just great.
Thank you
Great authentic and quirky boozer with good prices and always excellently kept cask beers.
This is a real old school pub and a wonderful find in this day and age. Landlady is a gem and the beer is kept perfectly. Though I have not had a meal here the food looks amazingly honest and good. You may need to book. Don't miss this if you love proper pubs.
Great food great value xxxx fantasy land for meat eaters dare you to try the mixed grill xxx half chicken, gammon, steak, sausage, black pudding, onion rings, mushrooms, tomatoes, egg and a separate bowl Ov chips coss will not fit on the plate all for £15 xxx
Lovely little pub full of character in a market town centre location. A good selection of ales and excellent service. The food here is superb, home cooked, good quality large portions and not at all expensive. Try the paella or even the fish & chips, you will not be disappointed, if you are theirs n
Proper pub, smallest bar I have seen. Good beer and atmosphere!
Excellent old fashion locals pub. Tim Taylors landlord in good condition
Dropped in for a drink - excellent real ale.
Nice to go to a proper pub one that has not been messed with. Friendly staff. Good beers and dog friendly.
Another lovely Sunday roast- thank you. Can’t fault the food at this pub. We have had several meals and Sunday lunches now since we have been holidaying in the area for the last couple of years and we have always had excellent meals. Always been made very welcome by Chris. If you are in the area pay
