Loved this wee place, we were on a weeks visit to York and visited Malton and found this place and loved it so much we came back following night. We have a little dog and they made him as welcome as us . Food lovely great service, sooo cosy , we will definitely be back again next visit �
Even though busy, a lovely welcome and lots of fuss made of our little dog who got a bowl of water and treats. Food and beer were first class. Would happily recommend to anyone.
Fabulous pub food was excellent and was made more than welcome and to top it off we could take our fur babies who were also spoiled will definitely go again
Enjoyed a wonderful Sunday lunch here with my young daughter.
The roast beef and trimmings were delicious and my often fussy toddler devoured her own dinner and had room for a very tasty ice cream.

Arrived late Sunday afternoon. Should have booked as they had run out of Sunday lunch. Staff genuinely apologetic for this. We picked from daily menu and wasn't disappointed!! Food was fantastic and the service perfect. Will definitely be visiting again.
Had evening dinner with wife and mum , lovely food and staff very attentive, had lunch a few times too ! Ham egg and chips fab !!!
Introduced to The New Malton by friends and just love it. Good Ales, much to my husband's delight, excellent food and very friendly staff who are very attentive and informative, Abs I must mention, a friendly welcome as we stepped inside. Will be having many more visits. Oh and free parking in the square steps away. X
Food fabulous. Atmosphere fabulous. Plus they looked after my dog, giving her treats and water. Wish the meal could have lasted longer. The steak was beautifully cooked and my crime brûlée was gorgeous. Xx
Lovely food served by very friendly and welcoming staff. If you want a table at the weekend you need to make a reservation. So busy and I can understand why. May it long continue.

Had a lovely afternoon at The New Malton for friends 60th wedding anniversary. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff. Food was excellent and it was such a relaxing atmosphere.
The food was brilliant, can't recommend the brownie enough, it was incredible!

I ordered from their Small Plates and relished the Smoked Applewood +Onion Muffins with Beetroot & Rosemary Hummus..The texture of hummus was smooth, flavours had a perfect balance✨

A friend who is allergic to gluten opted from the mains the Thai style broth with Rice Noodles+ Chickpea+Sweet Potato +Lime fritters.. I shared a bite or two and loved the dish more than what was served on my plate! 😜

For drinks, I had the Raspberry Lemonade, coz I love fruity fizzy drinks! My friends opted for basic Cider and Gin &Tonic!

What was on point was The Dessert - Warm Dates filled in a Puff Pastry + melt in the mouth Cinnamon Walnut Ice cream...It was indeed the best part of the meal!

What a lovely pub-restaurant . Friendly staff and even offered our dog biscuits and water . We hadn't booked and was very fortunate to be the last two allowed in by the chef , other walk ins after us were turned away (very popular , so I would I advise to book , to avoid disappointment) . The food was amazing and the staff are wonderful . We had a wonderful night thanks to all the staff and excellent chef .
Had a pleasant snack here at the new Malton the staff were prompt to seat us in the library room with a lovely view of the church outside the rest of the bar area was full with people eating thought it must be good here. We had the 4oz steak sandwich with a few chips and the cheddar and pickle sandwich with a few chips. 2 pints of Stowford press cider . Would have loved to have tried more from the very varied menu . Such a great selection for people . Gluten free and dishes that can be made gluten free . We will be back this way again and not hesitate to eat here again .

I enjoyed the fishcakes and lemon sorbet (for dessert) very much. The staff was friendly and helpful, too. Pleasant visit — I'm sure it won't be the last.
Had a fantastic night at the New Malton, a lovely atmosphere, the food was amazing and Gemma and her team of staff were excellent. Without doubt my favourite spot to eat in Malton.
Brilliant service, dog friendly and supplied a water bowl. Whilst the food is pricey (for Yorkshire 😁)
Absolutely well worth it.

Super food, lovely atmosphere & friendly attentive service. Took our dog and he was really well looked after too with a bowl of water on arrival & a plate of dog treats. My husband tried the thirds of beer which was such a good idea and well received. A great evening had by all. It really is a pub for everyone, children are welcomed, locals are in there for a pint & it’s great for foodies too.
A very pleasant, freshly prepared meal in a spacious, clean environment. In the heart of the town with good, on-street parking literally just outside!
Menu not as good as it used to be, possibly changed owners? However this place gets busy and you need to book. Food is ok, fairly priced and we enjoyed our visit.
