I've eaten here so many times and have never had a bad meal. The food is so yummy and the staff all very friendly. Always recommend this place.

Stopped over as a late Valentine's meal that we nearly had to cancel as I was in hospital only days before. Fabulous food, great staff and superb room and breakfast. Looking forward to returning and sampling from the range of ales.

Stayed on the campsite, we did get stuck in the mud, so gravel would be a much better alternative. Had a little park on site too which is always good for the kids. Staff were amazing, had a warm welcome, nothing was too much trouble. Food was fine but a little over priced for the quality. The entertainment that was on Friday, was really good too.

Lovely pub. Nice welcome, friendly staff. Good choice of drinks and prices reasonable. Stopped in passing to eat, but kitchen fault made this impossible. Shame, as looked great. Maybe next time? Just one of those things.... Apologetic staff. Would happily return.

Never stayed but visited twice, once for drinks and other for dinner. First had friendly welcome and playing nice sixties music on speakers. Second had dinner in the library area and the food was of good quality and warm welcome again. It is a pub, restaurant, rooms and caravan site. It has a 60 mitre wishing well.

Stayed overnight in the small campsite at the rear of the pub on our way back from Ireland. The facilities were all there (washing machines temp off for repair) Quiet and mostly level but i gather it gets really busy during the school hols. Would stay again, and have one of their very reasonable breakfasts next time.

My girlfriend and I stayed recently. Nothing was to much for the team. A certain member of the team will stick with us forever. A young lady named "lilly". My girlfriend had received some bad news. I am not a tactile man and lilly noticed this. Immediately she approached my girlfriend and offered a hug. It restored my my trust in humanity. The food is great, the rooms are second to none and the staff are incredibly helpful. Fully recommend the bickerton.

Lovely Pub and small campsite. Campsite basic but quite and lovely scenery. Breakfast was excellent and staff were very nice. We also had dinner which was delicious! Family friendly.

Nice carvery.. Meat and vegetables great. Only two slight let downs, roast potatoes not great and the carvery server was chewing gum which wasn't a great look. But I did enjoy carvery!

Used the campsite. Pitches should be gravelled as it's easy to get stuck in the mud. Food in the pub is good although a little overpriced for the quality. Staff are friendly and welcoming!

Visited for Hitchfest and despite the monsoon conditions 🤣🤣 it was really good. The whole event was brilliant and the staff in the Poacher were just top notch. We didn't eat but the food looked incredible.

Rooms can be noisy due to the pub below, not a problem for me but could be an issue if you're a light sleeper. Excellent breakfast, and good value.
