Handy tea stop if walking Malham Cove/ Gorsdale Scar, lovely sausage rolls
So happy this exists. After days of wandering around pluto. We found this place. The gordale burger was amazing. Local beef with a sweet brioche bun topped with cheese and softly toasted onion, accompanied with gerkin and sauce. That and a selection of coffees made my day. The couple working so hard and always smiling. Keep it up and your customers appreciate you been there. Love using my bank card in the middle of nowhere. Lovely buzz in this area.
After a long and lovely walk, we were so happy to find this little place where we could stop and have a hot cappuccino and some hot bacon and egg sandwiches, which were delicious!
The staff is friendly and polite.
Thank you, Gordale Refreshments! We will be back.☺️
My daughter wanted to come here after reading all the reviews and having missed it on our first time walking here (we were too early). Perfect for a pit stop after a walk from Malham to Janet’s Foss and Gordale Scar. Excellent sausage and egg sandwich and Gordale Burger went down a treat. Good quality and excellent value for money. Highly recommend.
What a great location to have, the hot coffee and sausages roll was a delight on a cold, wet, and windy day. Prices were very reasonable which was a surprise.
Tea ☕️ , cappuccino and beef burgers 🍔 will seldom taste so good. In such beautiful surroundings this refreshments van definitely added to the experience and it felt so good having that tea. That simple cup of tea. What a cuppa! Likewise, my youngest daughter said she’s never had a better beef burger before.
Walking distances from this point are as follows:
Janet’s Foss ~ 3 minutes (a small waterfall with a pool - Jennet was the fairy queen who lived here - featured as Molkham Falls in the 2006 British film Waterfall)
Gordale Scar ~ 12 minutes (created when apparently a Giant once 🥱 ducked to avoid being hit by a plate?? thrown by his angry Missus!). Also been recently used in series 2 of The Witcher on Netflix.
Malham Cove ~ 30-40 minutes (this along with Gordale Scar appeared on BBC TVs Seven Natural Wonders as a natural wonder of Yorkshire - also appeared in the film adaptation of Emily Bronte’s Wuthering Heights - and more recently and arguably most famously as a place Hermione and Harry visited in the film Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 🧙♀️ 🪄 😊
A big thank you from Riverside School Tadcaster. We visited today with 50 children and you were so patient and kind - even offering the teachers a free ice cream. Talk about going above and beyond. Thank you for making our day!
Had a Hogroast sandwich 🥪 with apple 🍎 sause yummy 👌😋. Then a lovely slow stroll through the campsite up to Gordale Scar and down to Janet's Foss, extremely beautiful area😍🤩😀🏕️🌟.
Great back and egg roll, cooked as you like it. Cash or card payments accepted. Great food, great prices, friendly staff, good break on a long walk
A great stop off roughly half way when waking Malham > Malham Cove > summit > here > Goredale Scar > Janet’s Foss > Malham. I recommend the excellent sausage, bacon and egg roll.
