Had the yummiest cake and mocha here today - lovely service, atmosphere and great staff.

Took my teenage granddaughters and my 16 year old said it was the best sandwich ever. Great food. Also have a large garden area. Not suitable for young children as no room for buggies. Very grown up food. Freshly made. Get there early lunchtime to get a table.
I was part of the entertainment for Maldons vintage Christmas Fayre yesterday. We went to Continental Cafe and from the minute we walked in we felt so welcomed. All of the staff were polite, friendly and the service was really quick despite being full. It is a very cute cafe for a quick cuppa or a bite to eat. Suitable for all ages. We’d love to come back! Had an hour to kill on Sunday morning due to late start to sons football match at The Plume...there is no better way to kill an hour. Excellent service, lovely food in lovely surroundings....

We visit many Cafes and restaurants and Continental Cafe is a real Gem in Maldon.
The coffee was great,but the food was tasty,fresh and generous. Very good attentive service with a smile too.

Our first time visiting today & so glad we did. Our brunch was out of this world & the cakes just to die for. Staff were also lovely, polite & helpful. If I could rate this place higher than a 5* then I would. We can't wait to come back. Keep up the amazing work.

I decided to visit continental cafe after reading a review online and I am so glad that I did. I'm not sure I would have noticed this wonderful little eatarie in the heart of Maldon if I had just strolled by.
It's so much bigger than it looks with plenty of seating both inside and outside, in a pretty courtyard to the rear of the property.
We were seated immediately, even though it was busy and our orders taken quickly. Our waitress was pleasant and accommoding with a good knowledge of the menu and ingredients. She was happy to add or remove items from our order.
Our food was promptly served and was hot and nicely presented.
The portions are quite large so unfortunately I couldn't finish the amazing slice of cake i had chosen for dessert but was offered a box to take it home as someone had noticed there was cake left on my plate. How nice was that?
I can totally understand why people post pictures of the fabulous and imaginative cake displays as they truly are spectacular and taste even better than they look.
This place is a must for lovers of well cooked food and delicious cakes.
I feel sad for anyone who hasn't discovered the continental cafe. It is well worth a visit, you won't be disappointed.

Top drawer! Food and service fab, staff wonderful, polite, but the best bit? The cake! Good parking just to the rear, central to high street. Prices very fair. 1st visit, highly recommended and will return! Loved my roast chicken and mayo sandwich.

I always rave about this place, their cakes are something to write about! There's always a large selection of cakes, the portions are extremely customer favoured and they are the reason we love a walk over the Prom! The staff are friendly, quick to serve and just aren't pushy - with what they offer they don't need to be.
Just top notch every time! Delicious food. Great lattes. Sometimes quite busy but always worth the wait. 🌟

Really popular cafe, and deservedly so. Such a nice way to unwind and enjoy some good food. Coffee ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. A tasty Americano made just how I asked, nice and strong.
Both of our breakfasts were very good also. The Scrambled Eggs and Bacon on granary bread were delicious, plus my wife's full English was generous and good quality. The sausages were juicy and tasty, the mushrooms were much better than the normal wet bland offering. Loads of scrambled egg and toast ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. The cakes looked so good we purchased some to take home. Well worth a visit!

Great location, staff attentive & friendly, food is delicious, especially their curly fries, yummy 😋 it's welcoming and clean, fabulous choice of cakes, however I don't always have room, the perfect place to eat, never disappointed, happy days. 🙂
I go here for lunch quite a lot, whether it’s catch up with your friends or family lunch. continental cafe always do their best to provide the best experience for customers. The food is lovely and their cakes are amazing. The only downfall is that they only do walk ins and sometimes it’s too busy to wait. However I definitely recommend.
