After a long drive from London, we stopped at the pub for food. The welcoming staff and service were remarkable.
I ordered the smoked haddock with stilton and my husband ordered the burgers. Both options were delicious. With my food. I had vegetables which were cooked to perfection and in lieu of the mash I ordered the GF fries, absolutely delicious.

We went here on a whim to try their food. We were not disappointed. I had a steak and ale pie which was a real pie totally encased in pastry. Superb!! Then went out to see the garden. What a pleasant surprise ( see photos) definitely would recommend.
We had soft drinks, mains, dessert and coffee. I personally had the Lasagne which was lovely and meaty, the best I've ever had outside of making it myself. And the base on the Cheesecake, which I had plain as not a fruit fan, was the best ever. As for the staff, absolutely fantastic. Well done everyone ❤️
Absolutely faultless meal. Every time we visit, the food is amazing; the atmosphere is welcoming and staff so friendly. You won’t find a better roast anywhere!

Service was friendly polite and speedy but not rushed. Sunday roast was delicious with a choice of meats, including beef, chicken or pork, or all three if wanted. Vegetables were cooked just right and food was hot. Desserts were equally as good with the cherry filled pancakes an excellent recommendation from our waitress. The apple crumble with cinnamon and cream was also very good. Comfortable seating and a lovely location in the bay window. Staff couldn't do enough for us. I definitely recommend a visit.
Very nice and clean pub. Staff where friendly and courteous and made you feel welcome. Food was top notch, nice cold Aspall's. The cheesecake topping was so smooth. Couldn't fault anything. Highly and easily recommend. Great service all round

I was pleasantly surprised by the decor and plush furnishings in the dining area, and the food was superb.
Although it was a Monday evening, it was very busy. It's obviously a popular pub, and I can easily see why.

wow I lived in Maldon for years, how did I not go here? fantastic food and hospitality perfect, I had tandoori chicken sizzler with drunken fruit for pud my Auntie had Salmon with lobster and prawn sauce new pots and veg , our friends had liver& bacon suet pud with mash and veg , we will definitely be back thanks for a fab experience 🥰
Excellent service, staff extremely obliging. Food was very good quality and well cooked. Shame there's not more parking. Many thanks for the experience. We'll come again.

Would highly recommend, The Queen Victoria. The food is great, the service is great. The pub is not a particularly large pub, cosy i would say. I have eaten in here twice and both times the food was lovely. The only down side is that the pub is not my local, I go to this pub when I visit friends in Mauldon. Such a shame because I would love to try everything on the menu.

A good English pub serving local and traditional food. Service was quick and friendly and it was good value for money.
First of all were the hanging baskets! So perfect and beautiful, they make you want to call in t the Queen Victoria.
Simply the best lambs liver and mash I've had in years. Also catered for my extra needs which was grilled halloumi on top. Absolutely devine.
Then the ice cream with pancake! Well the ice cream was so nice it was creamy and smooth but the pancake was bland unfortunately. But all in all excellent exceptional and totally tastetastick.
As for Michelle who hosted t my every need. She was brilliant. Run around after all . What a lovely lady. Can't wait to be in the area again.
