I really hope McDonalds finds the time to read this. Your employee, Tamara, deserves a bloody medal. So does the manager who was working today. My autistic child, was shouted at by an elderly lady wearing a Mickey Mouse bag, yes you read that right, for moving chairs. I moved him to another table, This of course triggered a meltdown, tears, anxiety and fear for my 10 year old - who does not cope with confrontation at all. Tamara, was an absolute star, talking to my son for ages, making sure he was calm, going so far as to give him a hug and reassure him that his uniqueness only made him more special! The manager at the store working today approached me after the event and asked me to never feel like I have to move again. Thank you to you both for your understanding and patience. It meant a lot to both to me and my son.
Small and busy, but quick service, lots of seating areas too.
Customer service great, food good, Very well run 5 * would definitely recommend
Good service although usually congested with loads waiting. Few seats as most filled with families so often easier to take away and sit on the seating in the arcade. So as you know, this McDonald has no toilets.
Lovely very busy but staff are wonderful
This was probably the best McDonald's experience we have ever had today. Walked straight to counter. Friendly, patient staff. Waited no time. Got a decent, clean table. Colourng for the kids brought over. Staff brought food and napkins over voluntarily too. All order correct (rare). Food decent temperature. All food eaten.
Great visit. Plus it was lunch time half term so was expecting a nightmare!
Wow four star cuisine and four star service.
Quite possibly one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. From the moment we were welcomed at the door by a developmentally challenged lady with a mop to when we left we were looked after to the best of standards. Nothing was too much of an ask from getting a fizzy drink with the ice left out to asking for extra packets of ketchup to dip our perfectly seasoned chips in. The kids loved it too as the decor was clean and brightly coloured. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Usual food selection. No toilets as inside the Mall. usually not too busy but limited amount of seating. staff always very helpful, especially as a parent on own with two young kids. always a good option if I need a quick snack when out shopping!
Had to wait awhile for the food
After the refurbishment, the restaurant in the Chequers Centre has improved. There is now self-service touchscreens and a food collection number system, meaning you're not forever waiting squashed at tills whilst 20 people are waiting for orders. This McDonalds also has a 'delivery' service where, after ordering, your food is delivered to your table so you don't actually have to get up and collect your food!
There is also more seating in the restaurant which still hasn't much helped the waiting for family/larger tables at peak times. Smaller tables are easier to find.
All in all, quite a busy McDonald's. In my opinion, not the best out of the 3 restaurants in the town. The other two have more space and aren't as busy.
I've only eaten at this location about three times but have always found the food to be fresh and the service to be good. The only negative is trying to find a seat during busy times.
It's a McDonald's..Good clean quick food. No one one does it better. If you want a burger.
I had a big Mac. and fries £1.99 with the voucher... You will not be disappointed here.
