Absolutely lovely, booked online and requested a table out the way, as have 2 young person's with autism. Seated in a secluded area, very friendly and accomdating staff. Food was lovely, I enjoyed the chicken & chorizo pie! great choice of food on the menu. Thank you

Went for a meal last night with the family. Lovely food, great service and loved the little areas you can sit on your own while overlooking the river. Would definitely come back.

I’ve been going to this pub/restaurant for 40 years and it has grown a lot over the years, but the location is beautiful overlooking river Midway with narrow boats and cruisers. You just have to be aware of parking to register your car, so you don’t get fined.

A nice pub/restaurant in an almost unbeatable location alongside a beautiful river. A fantastic place to visit on a sunny day. The food was pretty decent and not too badly priced. The service was good and the staff were very polite but it can get busy and a couple of times there was quite a queue. I opted for quite a tasty burger with cheese and bacon, which was cooked perfectly and washed it down with a cold pint all whilst sitting by the riverside watching the boats and wildfowl pass by.

UPDATE 2023 10 Had a great surprise, they had a guest ale called "Fresh Legs" which was a nice acompanyment to my meal, staff very friendly and they always get the bill right first time, not like another close by Beefeater. UPDATE 2023 04 Special discount day (40% off) so very busy, felt the portion sizes where getting smaller, asked for Mayonnaise but it did not arrive, so had to go to the grill bar and ask for some. Staff very friendly and engaging. UPDATE 2023 03 Service was very good and engaging, food from the daytime menu was far better than expected for the price. UPDATE 2022 11. Would have increased my star rating to 5 as the restaurant was lovely and warm, the food and service were very good, unfortunately the gent's toilets were a bit smelly. This was a afternoon visit. Well what can you say, this is a very busy place. The staff work extremely hard. We took advantage of the two meals for £12, which is a unbelievable price, unfortunately our chips were cold and dry, these were promptly changed by our waiter. Hopefully our next visit will be perfect and I will add a star or two. Great setting by the river Medway, make sure you log your car in.

This review has been given a 4 star because of Oscar who delivered great service otherwise it would have been 1 star. The food was ordered and after 20 minutes we were told they didn't have pizza. The food took a while because they only had 2 out of 4 staff in the kitchen The dessert took so long that Oscar left the bar downstair and went up to the kitchen to make the desserts himself. Well done Oscar for over-delivering.

We always have an excellent breakfast here! Quality of the cooked breakfast is consistent and the option to have fruit ,yoghurt and pastries too is an added bonus. Very busy at the weekends so we prefer to go during the week and get a seat by the river,it makes for a very pleasant start to a day off from work.

My wife has had issues with beefeaters in other parts of the country so was reluctant to eat here; but eat here, we did. This beefeater, despite being very short staffed, was clean and tidy, although the loos could have been better. The staff were presentable, and courteous. The food was good and arrived in reasonable time. Unlike other chains, breakfast consists of a buffet including bread, pastries, cereals and fruit and a staff member will take your order for a full breakfast where you request how many you want of what, 2 eggs, 3 bacon, 2 sausage etc. There is a good sized beer garden, some of which is under cover. There is also lots of seating along the canal.

Food was good, lots of variety, and nice cocktails - however the service wasn't as good as it could have been. We were in a big group so I am taking that into account, but we waited a long time for drinks and one person didn't get their starter until nearly the rest of the table had finished theirs. Not a bad experience at all though. The bar downstairs was constantly backed up with people queuing to order food, so there weren't really a lot of opportunities to order drinks there. It feels like they'd benefit from a new system in that area.

Great with a Blue Light Discount. Steak was delicious - I am a pig and paid extra to have ribs too and it was totally worth it - HA! Lovely riverside walk too.

Lovely experience by River Medway. Always a good place to hang out after dog walking or cycling routine. A bit slow in the bar area at certain times. The location gives it an excellent place to hangout with friends and families.

Disappointing breakfast today. We had a 10.30am booking and they'd run out of a fair bit. Croissants, pancakes etc. Cooked breakfast was ok but some items were cold. Staff started taking away the buffet items do only got one cup of tea. Generally it's much better than this. Just caught them on an off day towards the end of their service time. Shame

Lovely place, but cleanliness depends on how busy the restaurant is at the time. Later edit - I visited the restaurant for a b-day lunch, and even though it wasn't too busy, the waiting times from the moment we got in, to the moment we paid our bill wasn't very good. The majority of waiters were fairly young, which I understand, but even though everyone was polite and friendly, we had to wait for everything. At one point, I was searching for our waiter to ask about our drink refill, which was ordered over 20 minutes before. We were given a table by the window, and we could admire the calmness of the river flowing by. It wasn't a sunny day, but it still looked nice. The food is what you would expect from a Beefeater. Both me and my friend ordered surf&turf with medium rare steak. Mine was a little too cooked for my taste, but I didn't say anything because it was edible. I won't waste food just because I'm fussy. We were asked twice if everything was okay with our food during the meal. And to be honest, there was nothing wrong with it. Cleanliness on my last visit was much better than what I've previously seen at this restaurant, and one thing we noticed is that the menus are fairly new, so we could actually look through without having to avoid sticky food stains.
