Let me start by explaining that i am no curry novice, my housemate and i have a regular curry night once a week and we have sampled most of the takeaway restaurants in the Maidstone area. We have our favourites who we regularly switch between but its very rare that anyone truely impresses us.
First up delivery, was here in 30 minutes. the driver was friendly and eager to get feedback on what we thought of the food. There were freebies too, free poppadoms (complete with dip and onion salad), free bombay aloo and a free bottle of coke.
Next the food, We ordered a Jal Naga Massala and a Chicken Rezalla, dishes we have found in varying quality across other takeaways. The Naga in particular is a very specific taste which some places just try to over-spice, where as it should have a growing warming flavour. It was perfect, the chicken tasted amazingly fresh and melted in the mouth. The rezalla we have recently tried from another restaurant and although we enjoyed it previously, this one surpassed it in every way. The beef mince was fresh and it was perfectly spiced. We also ordered Peshwari Naan and Onion Bhajis, the bread was light and fluffy and the bhajis were cooked to perfection with no burnt bits.
I realise how gushing this review sounds, almost to the point of being unbelievable, but its rare im this thoroughly impressed by a curry house. We will be using this place every week!
Have ordered from jhal five times over the past three months and every time it's been fantastic. It's not greasy, lots of well cooked meat, great size portions and almost always delivered well before times suggested on just eat.
We've eaten from almost all of the top rated Maidstone curry houses and this is definitely our favourite.
Dropped in to visit some friends and decided to pick up a take away on route and found this place completely by accident. Ordered the tandoori lamb chops and the ostrich bhuna together with some sides. Have to say l was very impressed by the quality and mouthwatering flavours of the food. Highly recommended this place and look forward to coming here again when passing Maidstone.

2nd order delivered and the food was lovely. Good quality and good price. Excellent delivery on top. Definitely found one of my new favourites in Maidstone!

Another amazing experience! Ordered here lots of times. Ordered at 830 on a busy sat night and got it by 9! Really hot, tasty went for the hottest curry with naga chilli loved it!
Best curry takeaway in Maidstone. Jhal Chilli has quickly become our favourite, tried others in the 18 months we have lived here. Delivery is in good time, and receive free extras that are a nice touch. But, best of all are the flavours, superb. Thanks Jhal Chilli
Tried a few Indian takeaways since moving to Maidstone, but Jhal Chilli is the one we keep going back to. Everything we ordered was really tasty. I don't usually like sides like Bombay potatoes or Saag Aloo, but maybe I've never had good ones, because these were delicious. Definitely recommend.
The best tasting Indian food we have tried in Maidstone so far. Very polite as well. They often do special offers so we can get a great deal on a treat. We will be ordering again!
We had a lovely Indian take away from Jhal. Staff were extremely friendly. I would say they serve up one of the best Indian food in Maidstone. The food was fresh and extremely flavoursome which my guests, including kids enjoyed eating.
Honestly a really good dinner ! Popadoms were non oily , the food was absolutely lovely!! They really do make one of the best Currys going.

I've had a delivery with Deliveroo this eve with them and man I was Impressed how good and tasty food was! 😋 it was just amazing 👏 portion sizes are very generous too (just right actually as u dont get that often) I've tried few dishes that I've not ordered yet and I was NOT disappointed!!! They also delivered EARLY 👏 Highly recommended Asian restaurant and I really hope they will keep up with good service 😀 👍

By far the best Indian take away in Maidstone. Very fresh, very flavoursome and delivered ahead of time. It has taken me a while to find the best Indian take away in Maidstone but this is most definitely it.
We were in Maidstone for a couple of nights and wow what a find this place was! The food was absolutely delicious with a menu full of new and exciting things mixed with old favourites making this takeaway perfect for all of us! The food was delivered in a timely manor and you could tell it was all cooked fresh and still piping hot. Particularly delicious was the honey glazed duck appetiser and the naan breads were hands down the tastiest I have ever had. My only complaint is that we live too far away to have this again anytime soon! Would definitely recommend
Lovely food, delivered on time and the delivery driver was polite and fully observed social distancing guidelines, and even wiped the door bell after pressing it! - will defo be ordering from there again soon, the dishes were really fresh and authentic indian flavours!
I ordered from Jhal Chilli while looking for a new place to order from with a previous bad experience and i was not disappointed. Food came fast and hot. Portions were a fair size and filling, food was tender and had flavour by far the best Indian takeaway i have ordered from i honestly can't fault it. Will be ordering again.
We have ordered from jhal chilli 4 times now since moving into the area. Jhal chilli is hands down the best takeaway curry I've ever ordered. Always hot on arrival, always quicker than quoted time, and restaurant quality curry. Cant recommend enough, I have nothing bad at all to say
Definitely the best curry house in Kent and I have certainly been to many in my time. Loved the chocolate nan. Top service too. Keep it up lads. Would suggest everyone to give them a try.

The food itself is great, rich in flavor, low amount of grease (right amount of moisture), and best of all the portions are filling but not wasteful.
I would have definitely been a regular here if I lived locally.
