Excellent brunch. Good quality food, great service. Lovely atmosphere, seating arranged very well to be spacious across multiple levels and areas.
Waitress on the ball when asked about dairy free options.
Would enjoy returning for lunch or dinner to see what it's like later in the day.
I think this is my favourite chain of restaurants. I've eaten in them alot all over UK and never had a bad dining experience.
Tasty food, served by well trained professionals in a polite friendly manner.
Lots of choices and the menu of the day is always good value.
One of the few places where I eat steak tartar. Both the starter portion and the main course are excellent.
I had cod and chips but cod had run out so I got sea bass and i requested mash. Very tasty.
Side portion minted peas and creamed spinach. Tasty as always.
Starter portion steak tartare very good as was the egg salad.
Beef bourgininon was cooked to perfection. Great flavour.
Try it. I'd highly recommend it.
When you see a chain restaurant which has stood the test of time there is a reason for it. In the case of Cote Brasserie - Maidstone, culinary excellence without stretching itself to Michelin star standards.
All restaurants can learn from Cote Brasserie to better deliver, present and prepare excellent dishes.
I decided on the off chance to book a table and see what Cote was like, which was very easy to do online and was confirmed very quickly. We were shown to our table very quickly My wife and I ordered some Olives and biscuits and a Ricard and also a Gin mixer as a starter which was especially nice but was not given time to finish and enjoy them as the main meals arrived about a minute later which gave us no time to finish the starter which was very disappointing. Also the biscuits never arrived. In concequence my main meal, Beef Bourguignogn was getting cold and my Sancere white wine could not be drunk because my Ricard was still unfinished which incidentally did not bend well with my main meal which was also the same experience for my wife.
Not wishing to spoil the occasion and make a fuss we made no comments at the time.
I have to say though the food was really lovely and beautifully presented, which included the pork belly my wife chose. The deserts were also very nice. The lady serving us was also very pleasant and very attentive and I could not fault the rest of the service.
For future reference try and let your customers eat their starter and check before serving the main meal, and not all at the same time
I would still return again as the food is really delicious.
Waiters genuinely care about your experience, food is darn tasty and prices are not exorbitant. House wines are delicious as is the French cider on offer. Can't wait to go back again and dive in to the French onion soup.
We had a lovely family breakfast, the food was excellent quality and the waiting staff attentive and helpful.
Would definitely go back.
Food is always amazing and the service is outstanding. They all work together with the floor leaders making sure everyone is happy, the waiting staff taking orders for food and drink and then kitchen porters bringing the food out on trays to be served. It's a pleasure to see it done so well and warrants the 12.5% optional service charge. The quality service just compliments the quality food. I would recommend the calamari to start, and if you want to stick with fish again, the Brenton stew is one of my favourites
We were there on New Year's Day to celebrate a birthday in our group.
The food and wine were delicious and the service was good except we were around a corner and they forgot us! However, with great apologies we were given a quality wine to take with us and share later when the celebrations continued at our friend's place.
I would go there again.
Had a very nice breakfast with a friend. The staff were very helpful and attentive the entire time, but a big big thank you to the wonderful lady who took extra care with us. You were such a star! I unfortunately didn't ask for her name but we spoke about the yummy strawberry jam we had with our meal. We will need to visit again!
Food was generally good, although my partner's food came out barely warm. We did let the staff know and they offered to replace the meal and offered us 20% discount. Service was good although they didn't have any draught beer. 🙄
Hey, it's a chain restaurant.....but, it's good. Food was 7/10 but the wine was unexpectedly good. Service was friendly and attentive. Overall we had a great afternoon for not big bucks. That's what I want.
Food was lovely service efficient. Staff very helpful. Nice ambience. Couple of little things i was given tonic water instead of soda water, but this was very quickly sorted . My friend ordered hot chocolate but it wasn't hot when it came. Another one was brought bit unfortunately it was the same. It was not put inn the bill.
Very polite, the food was delicious and the sausage was not deep fried! It was good quality. A good glass of orange juice, and the poached eggs perfect no vinegar taste.
All in all a very good breakfast.
Lunch from the Christmas menu today. Terrine to start with steak and chips for main, followed by creme caramel and espresso. Very nice decor, and the food was great. My only criticism would be that service was slow, but other than that a very enjoyable lunch.
Wonderful ambiance and good food. I had the sirloin and a cremé caramel and both were excellent. The place is spotless, and they don't insist on seating you on top of other diners like other restaurants do because there's space between tables. A bit pricey but well worth it - I highly recommend it.
It was my daughter's 17th birthday and they gave her a card and balloon which was a lovely surprise. Also, staff were very attentive and food was delicious. We had a lovely evening.
Love this place, great menu, good selection of wine and very welcoming and comfortable. Only been early afternoon but thoroughly enjoyed it each time. Highly recommend this restaurant!!! Just hope it survives
