Amazing Afternoon Tea! Turns out we were the first to experience this here. Delicious selection of freshly made sandwiches, huge warm scones with clotted cream and jam and a wonderful variety of petit fours. A teapot of tea each and extra hot water too. In such a beautiful setting, sitting outside in the sun, the only question was would we be able to eat it all?

We got lost...but then found this beautiful place!!! Wonderful Cafe and Garden Centre with staff that know their job and most importantly truly care about what they do and about Stubbings. The management should be really proud of this!

Lovely spot for brunch and we’d definitely visit again. We visited for the first time on Sunday late morning. It was very busy but plenty of tables available. The concept is simple - choose a table (and remember your table number!), queue up, order and have your food and drinks delivered to your table. We had the full English breakfast, curly fries, flat white and latte with pumpkin spice syrup. All was delicious. The full English especially was a large portion. Special thanks to the kind gentleman who went out of his way to find my hand sanitiser that I left on the table. You went above and beyond! As an aside, there was plenty of parking spaces including two overflow car parks. We will certainly be back.

Lovely cafe, with a good variety of food. Although I do always wait until the jacket potatoes are ready at 11:30am, and they are very happy to add my requested toppings. All the staff are friendly and it is a perfect place to bring your dogs for breakfast

I was so impressed with this cafe. I came here with my mum for lunch, it was really busy so there was no seating inside. We sat in the undercover seating area, which had patio heaters and blankets provided, so it wasn't too cold. There's a good range of food on the menu with something for everyone depending on if you want something small or a main meal. I just had a sandwich which was delicious and fresh. Was amazed how quickly our food came out considering how busy it was. Staff were really friendly too.

Grab some food or enjoy the beautiful view…This place has both to offer! We decided to opt for a day out on a lovely sunny day to enjoy a nice brunch date. The food was delicious I had a cedar salad and added crispy bacon. My partner decided to indulge on a choice of English breakfast as his choice. I was pleased with both the food and atmosphere but not so much on the service. Hence why I gave the place a 4 star versus 5 stars. The staff could be a bit more friendly and attentive to the customers. I will definitely will be visiting this place again to give it a second try and will provide an update specifically on the service. Wish me good luck.

Went there this weekend with a friend. The weather was absolutely lovely. Went for a small walk into the woods and then ended up at the cafe. Had this delicious brownie and coffee at the cafe. Extremely friendly and polite staff. As the weather was lovely it was very crowded but it didn't deter their service a bit. Anybody looking for a small weekend retreat this is the place for you. Would definitely visit again.

I enjoyed walking round the garden then sat outside and had a really tasty egg and cress sandwich. I would say prices are average for a garden centre and what I would expect. As I had finished and was looking for the exit I was pointed to exit through a marquee and was surprised to find a lovely set up with Christmas decorations etc. I spent another half hour happily browsing before choosing some beautiful Gisela Graham decorations to buy. The only reason I did not give a full 5 stars is because brought a slice of flapjack in the cafe which was covered with a layer of fat at the bottom. The bits I picked off were nice but there’s no way you could eat it how it was.

Another perfect birthday lunch at Stubbings - including a fresh salad dish prepared for a friend with special dietary requirements. Avo and eggs with seeds on sourdough is always a winner for me (whatever time of day!) and the homebaked cakes are amazing too. Full ‘English’ is teen sons’ favourite and afternoon tea with 94 year old dad was also great. Easy parking and fully accessible for buggies/elderly customers/wheelchairs. Dogs also allowed outside (undercover on the deck or in the gravel seating area). We’ve been coming here for years and it’s definitely one of our favourite ‘go-to’ places to eat out at during the day!

Love this cafe, nice choice of food and friendly service. Reasonably priced. Dogs welcome in outdoor covered area, so perfect stop off for brunch whilst out walking in the thicket. Blankets are provided for humans on a chilly day!

Brilliant customer service. The food wait was a little long, with no communication, but everything else was lovely. Beautiful cafe, nice gift shop, you could order the food from your phone and then be dropped at the table. My partner and I shared a tomato soup, I had a salad and hot drinks. The food was delish!

Only called in for a coffee, around 11am on Saturday morning. It was packed with people eating. Very nice place, well worth a visit.

My wife and I shared a delectable high tea with an assortment of Savory sandwiches, a cream tea layer and a sweets layer. Plus two refreshing pots of tea (decaf English Breakfast, Mumbai Chai and Earl Grey). Our server Steve was amazing, he went way beyond any service that we could expect, and the rest of the staff were so warm and friendly. It was a delightful afternoon.

The coffee was great, as always. My husband enjoyed the bangers and mash, with a tasty gravy, it was delicious. I ordered the coronation chicken sandwich which was not nice at all.

Good food, well presented and very fast table service. Coffee took a long time to arrive but was very good. My only niggle having opted for the ‘light’ breakfast at £8.99 was being charged an additional £1.50 for substitution of mushrooms for half a grilled tomato. If I was ordering an extra item I would not mind but this was a swap and the additional charge was not made explicit. (It meant I paid only 49p less than the large full breakfast option in the end!?) Beautiful surroundings and polite if somewhat formal staff. Plenty of parking available.
