Went for Valentine’s Day. Lots to choose from -normal menu, valentines menu and specials board. They also had a vegan menu (didn’t see if as I’m not vegan). Great service and food was delicious. Only negative was that steak was over cooked but they rectified it immediately - I think maybe the steak could have been a bit thicker and would then have not been overlooked. Will definitely be back.

Great pub with lovely staff. The food was really good - ploughman's platter and pudding this time around. The drinks selection unusual enough to get you trying something new. Very dog friendly. Jasper, the husky puppy enjoyed his visit too. Will be back for steak night and Prosecco. Can see this becoming a firm favourite!
We had a truly excellent 'steak night' visit to the Golden Ball - not that we all ate steak by any means. Very pleased with the service levels and value for money - and the food quality was outstanding.
Just had a meal here. The lamb was the best I've ever had. The whole meal was superb and the staff are friendly and helpful. Great place to eat.
Stumbled across this place and certainly was not disappointed, great place and staff!
I have used this venue both personally and professionally since the new owners took over. I run workshops and meetings at the venue and the staff and service is incredible. They cannot do enough for you. They are very friendly and professional. I visit the pub regularly on a personal level. The food is always amazing and again greeted with 5***** service and a smile. If you need a venue to run a business event or want a fantastic lunch or dinner out, I would highly recommend. Thanks Chris and team for making the visits whether business or pleasure an absolute pleasure!

Visited for a private function. This place is fabulous!. Very clean, comfortable and stylish. Great ambiance. The staff were amazing all night, always had a smile and very attentive. A gorgeous buffet was provided by the establishment which was varied and delicious. Its a shame that the venue is a little far from where I live or I would definitely be a frequent visitor. 10/10
Celebrated a family wedding last night which was excellent! The food was delicious, the very friendly and timely service was outstanding and the decoration was so beautiful. We used to live in Maidenhead and have spent many celebrations there but this was the best and the owners and staff felt like family. Thank you so much!

Great pub, outdoor area is lovely. Service not so great from one of the younger lads. Could make you feel more welcome. The female waitress was very friendly.
Visited for Sunday lunch. Recommended by a guest on a previous visit. We were not disappointed. The best restaurant Sunday dinner I've eaten for many a year. Attentive but not intrusive staff and pleasant surroundings.

Excellent fish n chips, with great wine by the glass. Lovely place to catchup with friends & family. First time I have been back since the refurbishment. Looks gorgeous with quality food to match.

Popped over to the Golden Ball en route to Carters Steam fair this bank holiday weekend.
Was immediately greeted by the very friendly and likeable Chelsea who introduced herself to our group.
She politely explained that they had been suffering from some technical difficulties with the pos system and explained things may be a little slower as a result.
Food was ordered promptly and out within 30 minutes, all delicious and obviously cooked to order as apposed to batch.
Small discrepancy with the bill (probably as a result of the system failure) was rectified swiftly and without question.
The restaurant is fairly priced for the area, the premises were immaculately clean and tidy despite the busy weekend and us arriving early evening after an obviously busy day.
Decor, atmosphere and aesthetic’s are great, just what the place needed.
Hope to be returning in the future and wish the new owners the very best of luck with the venture, please come and support your local pub, the future looks bright for the Golden Ball!
The food was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious, it was a shame that they didn't have about 40% of their menu available. Similarly the wine list was very extensive, however more of the wines were unavailable than available.
Some of the waiting staff seem quite in experienced and this presents itself in a manner bordering on rudeness.
Absolutely amazing. The staff were brilliant, the food was spectacular. 100% will be returning. Made such a good, lasting impression. The boss was fantastic too!

Welcoming and helpful staff who found a table for eight even though it was obviously very busy. Good food, lots of vegetarian options, and a limited but well kept choice of ales.
Lovely pub to visit on a summers day, cycled there and loved sitting in the garden. Eaten here before too and the food is good
