First time visiting this pub for all of us. Nice enough atmosphere and the food was OK. The best part about our lunch was the desert. A female member of staff couldn't be bothered to get an extra bowl for the pasta for my friends toddler. She said "the kitchen is too far and we don't cater for child
As a regular to this pub the food is always great and service is always friendly and quick. I would recommend visiting this pub. Rachel the assistant manager is extremely good at her job.
Love this pub, friendly atmosphere as soon as you walk in bar staff so friendly and welcoming, lovely beer gardern which is a great suntrap for customers, food was lovely and my partner said his was lovely too definitely worth checking this treasure out

Nice pub, always busy. Food usually ok but this time it was awful. The burger was rock hard and cold, cold chips, all sent back. Alternative offered but didn't risk it so went hungry. Staff amazing and welcoming to our party of 12 ladies. Food great and hot but carrots and parsnips needed more cooking. Otherwise it was all great. Colin and Charlie were always there to look after us.
Well, this was the very first pub I frequented - in 1972 as a 16-year old !! After 3 Brown Bitters and a Rum & Black I was anybody's :-) It was a great place back then and I'm delighted to see it lives on. Been before. This visit was for a birthday. Nice place, although cold with doors opening and shutting. No lasagne which is our grandsons favourite. Apart from this a good night.
