Came here last night and the staff were very friendly and polite and helpful. The food was a little slow to come but it was well worth the wait when it did come. Very nice place and i would recommend the place to anyone. Very reasonably priced and superb food! Credit to the chefs and staff. Thankyou. Will see you again soon
Came here with my Dad and my fiancé for lunch today. We received incredible service, our server was very polite and the lady at the bar was also lovely. The food was fantastic. We all had the lunch menu and the portion sizes were great and veru good value for money. Thank you! I'm sure I'll be back with my Mum for Mothers Day or another chance so she can taste the menu! Thank you again, we had a lovely time :)

After spending the weekend not far from Derby, decided to stop off here for lunch before our journey home. Couldn’t fault a thing! Staff polite, portion sizes great and the food was delicious! Will definitely be returning ��
Very friendly and attentative staff. The rib of beef was excellent and the Sunday trio of meat also. This is the third Chef and Brewer we have visited and beats the others hands down in all aspects.
We stopped to break a long drive home and so glad we did. The food and service was amazing. Very polite and helpful staff plus very good sized portions of lovely food. They had ran out of coleslaw but the kitchen made my husband some more even though they were busy. The bar itself was lovely and cosy with a roaring fire. And the bill was less than we had paid the previous evening in a fast food diner where the food was bordering on cold, not very tasty and took ages to arrive in very noisy surroundings. Well done to all involved. If we lived locally we would be regulars.
Amazing experience! Went there for my birthday with 18 of my friends and family and the staff were great! Excellent service and food too! Was quite last minute, so really happy how they looked after us! Will definitely be going again!!!

We visited the Mundy Arms after meeting with family at Markeaton Park for a catch up. My dad had his dog and I had my young toddler with me. The pub is warm and welcoming with a friendly team.
We visited on Easter Sunday so they were only serving their Easter Sunday menu. For a chef and brewer, I’ve never seen this before (just a new one for me as I’m more acquainted with the other brands within Greene King).
My toddler shared some of my meal as he’s not got quite the appetite for a whole meal but we had another child on the table who ordered from the kids menu. All the food was served quickly and was lovely. However there were a couple of downsides to our visit. Despite bringing some books of our own, to entertain my son with, the kids menus were taken away and we were left with crayons but nothing to colour on. (Apparently there was colouring in on the kids menus). The other small issue we had was that the children’s dessert was served late (nearly all the adults had finished theirs). She was given an extra flake and the staff were very kind about it all but usually the kids desserts are served first to save them waiting?
I’d still recommend here, though as I live in Worcestershire, it’ll be a while before I’m able to return!
We were looking for a child friendly place for a quick bite to eat before heading on to Alton Towers. We came in for 12 o’clock so it was quiet but soon started filling up. Service was great, food was superb and served in good time. Very happy to recommend.
Fantastic service! Anders and his staff couldn’t do enough for us! I booked at last minute for a large party and they even opened the pub up early for us! Couldn’t recommend this place enough!! The food was lovely too! Thank you so much and we will definitely be returning!!
Brilliant meal, staff friendly, lime and soda was almost perfect.
Staff were lovely, Megan needs a pay rise! Bit of a put off that its card only, cash is still legal tender and just because the area is up market doesn't mean people won't want to use cash. But it was explained and accommodated for by Megan and I will definitely be visiting again, menu had a good selection and the atmosphere was very tranquil. Shame its on a main road other wise I could see it being a top location for that special family day out. Can't recommend enough

When I first looked up this chef and brewer pub I thought it looked a bit uninviting from the outside, nearly considered going somewhere else. But I then googled pictures and saw the inside, it looked lovely and friendly and inviting, so we decided to give it a try. Well all I can say is wow, just wow. The staff were really polite and helpful and the food…….well, the food was just amazing. I ordered the sharing Camembert cheese board for starters, it was huge. Others in the party ordered the Korean chicken strips, this was so big it was like a main, it was great. For mains I ordered the belly of pork which was presented really posh and fancy and tasted great, again others in our party ordered the burger, it was a monster of a burger, which again tasted great. The desserts were just as good. We wasn’t hurried in any way, nor did we have to wait ages for our food either, I just wish all restaurants were as good as this one. If I didn’t live so far away I would definitely visit here loads more times. Well done and keep the good work up.

Great looking pub, staff were really friendly and whats more they served gluten free speckled hen. Would have gone back in the evening, but heavy storm kept me and my dog honey at our bb
I would like to thank Anders and his team, for providing us with an excellent buffet for the funeral of my Uncle.
We had a mixture of sandwiches and wraps, complimented with very tasty pork pie, sausage rolls, salad, coleslaw, halloumi and chips. All very fresh and tasty.
Anders also provided us with foil and bags to take home any leftovers.
I would recommend the Mundy Arms, and it's also so convenient from the Crematorium.
We had a really good family meal at the Mundy Arms! We were served by Heidi and Megan who were friendly and attentive throughout the evening. Relaxed atmosphere and tasty food.
Lovely quiet atmosphere, friendly and efficient staff, beautiful food at very reasonable prices, nice selection of drinks including some very tasty mocktails. Very much enjoyed our little dinner date. The pudding tasted fresh and not microwaved stodge like most places. Would absolutely recommend.
An absolutely lovely place to visit with a little bit off added countryside at the back. The food was lovely and the staff were very welcoming and polite. They still provide a table service which is great but you can also relax at the bar. They do both lunch time and evening menus with a variety of foods definitely worth a try
We went as a party of 8 and really enjoyed the time as a family. For some reason the pub wasn't very busy at all(only 6 people) which was very surprising. Would recommend this place.
