If you're in Macclesfield and don't visit The Cooper Room, you're missing out. Absolutely the best service I've recieved in my trip to the UK. Rick, the owner is brilliant. His signature drink ' Unknown Pleasures is exactly that. A pleasure. Ian also gave a fantastic tour and history lesson on the property . They deserve more than 5 stars.
We visited The Copper Room on the opening night for our wedding anniversary. What a fantastic evening! We started with some amazing cocktails in the beautiful, spacious bar downstairs and were welcomed by Amy who explained a bit about the history of the buiiding. We were then taken up to the stunningly, stylish restaurant. I had the most delicious goat's tart followed by an excellent steak and chips. My husband is vegetarian and was really impressed with the arancini and gnocchi. A panna cotta with doughnuts and the chocolate panache rounded off a perfect meal. Wonderful service and a really special evening. Can't wait to go again!
It was my birthday and my gf took me here last week. It was stunning! A proper fine dining experience in Macclesfield! It was a very special evening, the scallops (pictured) just melted in your mouth, followed by a lovely steak! This is a special place, offering a fine dining experience, which IMO is worth every penny! (Don't expect spoons prices!)... Luckily I wasn't paying, but will be next time! ... This is my new favourite restaurant and place to go for special occasions ... Although I wish I could eat the food here everyday! It's a little hidden gem in Macclesfield #no1 easy!
Tonight was our first visit to the @copperroomrestaurant .
It was absolutely fantastic. A beautiful building, amazing service, sublime food and lovely atmosphere. Whilst steady the only thing missing was more locals supporting this great new business. So first thing tomorrow book a table... You won't be disappointed.
The wallpaper outside the restaurant area is fascinating, especially as we spotted our own property (on the last picture). It's the first 3 story building on the right hand side, now rendered and converted into 5 apartments but we've never seen such an old picture of it before so it was a real treat.

We visited The Copper Room last night and it was IMPECCABLE!! We were warmly greeted by Rick, who made us some fabulous cocktails. We then went up to the beautifully decorated dining room where a lovely man with a beard (sorry, we didn't catch your name) looked after us whilst dining. The menu was extremely well presented and the food served was OUTSTANDING! After we'd eaten, we returned to the downstairs bar for more cocktails, we were looked after by Ben or Dan (too many cocktails 🤣) and Julia! Rick was genuinely happy to hear that we had loved our exquisite dining experience! The staff at The Copper Room ensured our long awaited date night was perfect! A sincere thank you to all, we cannot wait to return!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Visited for the first time last night for our anniversary meal.
We had the best time. Welcomed by Rick as we stepped through the door, and made to feel so welcome. The relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant was just wonderful.
The food was delicious. My steak was cooked to perfection with rich red wine sauce and my husband's lamb just melted off the bone. Our desserts were great too. My Tiramisu was lovely and light but creamy and delicious at the same time.
The best dining experience we've had in Macclesfield.

So lovely to have a restaurant in Macclesfield that holds it own on a regional level. Absolutely on point with flavour and cooking skills, we took the kids (well behaved 6&10 used to great food) tonight and the staff were absolutely lovely, the food was really special and the overall experience was great.
We will be back - loved seeing a seasonal local menu executed by very well trained chefs!
The Copper Room is a must-visit spot when you’re in the area (just 30 min away from Manchester). The food will make you feel like you’re enjoying a 5-Star meal but in the comfort of your home. The entire atmosphere is designed perfectly- so cozy, ideal for a cold UK night.
I tried every appetizer, and each bite had a burst of flavor that was unlike anything I’ve ever had.
Before or after dinner, be sure to stop at the downstairs bar/lounge. It’s so comfy, and the cocktails were fun and creative!
The staff were fantastic and made everything so enjoyable.
This spot has been added to my top 10 favorite restaurants in the UK.
P.S. if they have the DUCK, you must try it!!
Stumbled across this bar while staying in a hotel nearby and one of the most friendly and cosy little bars I've been . Rick the owner was a boss fella and host . Made me night .
This is by far the best place to eat in Macclesfield. My husband and I went for a meal on Saturday and absolutely loved it. The food was cooked to perfection, delicious and presented beautifully. Our waitress was very welcoming, polite and helpful when we had questions about drinks! Nothing was too much for the staff, they were all really friendly. The actual restaurant is so nice, with the comfiest chairs! If you haven't been you absolutely have to go, you will not regret your decision!!!
Was astonished at the quality of the food and service I had. Went out to dinner with my family and went for the full experience cocktails, starters, desserts and all and it was beautiful. I had the scallops and they were far nicer than some I’ve had even in well established seaside restaurants. My girlfriend is vegan and despite the menu appearing a little short at first we were well informed of plenty of vegan alternatives and modifications she could make to her liking no problem. The building is also beautiful and cocktails were very nice and a nice strength! The service was so charming and waiting times weren’t long so yep... it was all great! Must recommend!
Thoroughly enjoyed a few cocktails here last night from their very cool, Macclesfield inspired cocktail list, and have come away with new favourites! We loved the bar area and felt that the owners were really welcoming and friendly.
The atmosphere was so relaxed and lovely that we've booked in for dinner later in the week for my birthday - can't wait to come back!
Just had an amazing lunch at the copper room. The food was incredible and the service couldn't be better.
The owner Rick gave us a tour of the restaurant while taking us to our seat. He was very friendly and welcoming and the decor of the restaurant is incredible. We didn't feel rushed at all while eating and the owner made sure we were topped up with drinks throughout the meal.
My girlfriend ordered the steak and I ordered the sea bass, both were cooked to perfection. We will definitely be coming back soon as it was a truly great experience!
We visited the copper room last night as our first night out post baby! We started with relaxed cocktails outside and made our way up to the main dining room once we were ready. The starters were delicious and the perfect size! We both had steak for mains and they were cooked to perfection. The attention to detail was outstanding and we couldn’t recommend a trip here enough, we travelled from out of town to try this new establishment and were not disappointed, will defiantly be visiting again to work our way through the menu!

We came to your gorgeous new restaurant about 2 weeks ago with 2 friends of ours and had a wonderful experience.
I was one of the people who pledged some money - so when our friends came up from Brighton, we thought it would be a great idea to take them to the Copper Room. And we weren't disappointed. The experience was marvellous, and the food was delicious. I'm very fussy about how my steaks are cooked (rare - and people normally always overcook it), however it was on point and spot on.
In fact this was the first time my wife and I had even been out in Macclesfield (just to eat at a restaurant) in the 7 years since we moved here - and I can honestly say its worthy of being one of the best restaurants I've eaten in. And for the local area - it surely now must be one of the top restaurants easily.
And we would definitely come back to eat out there again - and maybe next time we will try more of the delicious cocktails. Macc needs establishments like the Copper Room to bring back more of the splendor and grandeur. Top marks.
So sad to say we were the last ever customers of the copper room. Rick (the owner) was our own personal chef. He cooked a fabulous meal. I hope him and his staff have the best of luck with the future endeavours.

Was a fantastic setting for a date night. We were looked after impeccably by all staff from start to finish, and cannot recommend this place enough. Wine pairings were an excellent touch. Will most definitely be back, especially to try the french dip sandwich!
