Lovely food, good service. Handy spot as there is a car park right behind. Interior is slightly dated in some areas and the tent cards on each table need replacing. Overall nice and would return.
Visited the restaurant for my birthday last week and enjoyed a very nice meal. The menu is a good size with an excellent selection of items for everyone. The food and drink are reasonably priced served by very friendly staff. The restaurant was nice and clean even on a busy Friday night.
Had a late lunch 2pm. Totally empty. Food was lovely. Waitress nice. Heating was on full, nice and warm.
Good service, they offer gluten free pizza, however it was very limp! Maybe all gluten free pizza is like this, it was my first try, the gluten free garlic dough balls were fab!
Our waitress, Sam, was very friendly, polite and attentive. We enjoyed our impromptu lunch sitting outdoors with our young grand daughter who enjoyed her Pasta and Pizza
Lovely place for a great pizza slice and some good time. Amazing service and very cordial staff.
All 23 family and friends aged from 5 to 76 in our "party", and who were laid at the same table, were looked after splendidly. Everyone on the staff was most welcoming, attentive, friendly, efficient and clearly wanted us to have a great time. Food was excellent value for money and served to all of us more or less at the same time and was piping hot. Couldn't have been a better experience and all this was whilst the restaurant was busy, full and buzzing on a Saturday evening. Excellent! Well done Pizza Express Macclesfield
Food is great and service is incredibly friendly and helpful, especially when catering to allergies.
Very expensive they really need to do real chips as the polenta chips are not to everyone's taste the service was brilliant the pizza very nice the cheese cake fabulous
My friends and I visited on Friday the 4th November and to say it was great would be an understatement. We went for a meal to celebrate my friend beating cancer and the staff there were so lovely. The food was great as always but most importantly the staff were so kind to us. As we went to pay a lady which I assume was the manager came over to us and informed us of all the meals and drinks being on the house as a well done for the occasion. Safe to say I'd absolutely return again. Thank you to the staff for being so sweet.
Lovely food, friendly service, but sadly not "Express" by any stretch of the imagination! Arrived at 6pm and left just after 9pm - granddaughter, aged 7yrs, even fell asleep!!!
We had a fabulous meal, service, food, drinks all great 👍
So... Pizza Express, like many chain restaurants, is trying to keep alive during a time where many people will be cutting back on their spending.
Gone is the pretentious music with a generic selection for folks in their 30s/40s/50s taking it's place.
There are subtle but noticeable reductions in the size of food on offer. It's an effective cost saving strategy, and although there's less value there, it does give you space for more things I guess.
A big difference for me is an attempt to heat the plates to keep the pizzas warmer for longer. They still get cold quickly, but that's probably due to the marble tables.
Overall, if you can spend £30 per person on pizzas, you've found the best place.
Just the usual Pizza Express if you've ever been. Had from the Vegan menu ans there's plenty of option. Highly recommend the Chimichurri dough balls. Download and scan the app before your visit tog etc rewards every time but use it before you pay.
Went early on a Friday night and it was very busy with loads of kids. Service was friendly and food good. I visited with my grandaughter
