I always enjoy eating there. The meat is excellent. We called in today just for a drink. Great staff and atmosphere. The place has a lovely rustic interior.
A good selection of food which covers most bases and tastes. We went on a Sunday, so there was roast beef or chicken as well as pub classics - burgers & fish and chips. There was also a specials board, although we didn't look at it. The food was good and arrived at the right time; not too quickly and not too long a wait. There's a good selection of draught beers to choose from, too.
Visited with a group of work colleagues, great venue, welcoming environment, tables reserved ready for our arrival. Staff took us over to our table and immediately came over for our drinks order, which was delivered promptly followed by our food order. Food was clearly freshly made and was delicious. Paying individually was not an issue for them either which was a welcome change.
Car park is rather small so if you came perhaps on a weekend parking may be a challenge, but don't let this put you off visiting
Went to the doggy friendly venue today lunch time
But no dog bowls around..that I could see anyway
I was expecting one outside each of the entrances
Food was not bad I had 2 starters one was roasted cauliflower which was raw but the sauce was nice
I did ask the waitress and she said It was cooked ..maybe it was supposed to be al dente anyway I ate it.
My sister said prices are average .She eats out more than me.
Anyway
Nice fresh clean toilets
Staff were pleasant
Large car parking area
I would come again
We've had a few meals here and have really enjoyed the food , the staff have always been polite and helpful. Lovely atmosphere.
Miss the deli now a gallery shame .
Looking forward to the next visit .
We had Sunday roast dinners. Sorry, only photos of the dessert which was amazing, it was the Edgerton Arms Eaton mess ....in a sundea glass . What a great balance of the ice cream and cream with the tart of the summer fruits , really really enjoyed it.
Just been to modules nite.
Excellent food, wine, beer & service.
Defo will go again, and again.
Dropped in here for some lunch. The place is all wood and floorboards, very nice country pub. It must have been busier than usual as we waited a long time and nobody came back to the table after our main to see if we wanted anything else.
My goodness. We were travelling from Wales to the peak District and needed a break. We just so happened to stop here and had the best time eating some sharing bowls and playing pool. The staff were super friendly, the food was tasty and I won most of the pool games.
Good food staff are friendly but one male member sent me to the nearest alternative pub which he said was about 10 to 15 mins away turned out to be 40mins away.I was knackered missed valuable drinking time.
I visited for a quick, light lunch on a quiet day. Personal aspects of service were quick and friendly. Food service after ordering was a little slower than expected, but the food when it came was tasty and well presented. I would certainly call in again.
Booked a table for 5 and the manager emailed back to confirm, no issues there. Got a nice table next to a fire, food was decent and outdoor area is nice. Good selection of seating indoor and out and we had a lovely time playing pool at 50p per game. Would return
Absolutely lovely meal, popped in passing through. Wonderful staff, wonderful food and wonderful surroundings. Take a look at the images,I can assure you it was as nice as it looks. It's always a winner when your not familiar with an area and you eat out and it's very good. Thanks Egerton Arms.
Went on my own when away. Great pub. However, barman forgot I was there fir over 15 mins with no service at all, shame. When all sorted the food was really good, fantastic chips!!! The manager took my drink off of the bill which was good. Would go again.
