Absolutely fantastic food (portions were really big, how can they afford it in these days?!), great atmosphere and service. If we only lived closer we would be there every weekend. Well worth the trip though!

Date of visit: September 2021 Went here for a family birthday gathering. We were all happy with the food. I had the sirloin steak which was perfect, excellent peppercorn sauce and chips. There is lots of outdoor seating and a separate kids area with hedge maze. Lots of parking available. Wheelchair accessible. Clean and nice decor. Dog friendly. Good facilities.

What a wonderful place the Windmill is. We were greeted with smiles on arrival, the selection of food and drink was very impressive and staff couldn't have been more helpful. Six of us enjoyed a great evening of well kept and maintained drinks, beers that tasted like nectar and food that was cooked perfectly all backed by exceptional service. We'd go every week if we didn't live over 100 miles away, if you are nearby treat yourself and go there!

Always good food - the fish was a very good size and delicious. Just enough room after mains and starters for a shared desert!

Three of us attended the wine tasting event at the Windmill on Holehouse Lane, Adlington. My wife and I, with a good friend had a superb evening. The chef and the sommelier had clearly spent some time developing the dishes and choosing the pairings, it was beautiful. Amazing value for money too! Book early for the next one because it was packed out! *The duck pairing was the dish of the night for me!

Hadn’t been in the windmill for ages and popped in for a couple, walking back from Bollington. Menu looked nice, outdoor seating lovely on a good day. 🌞

We had booked a lunch for 18 people and although we had to pre-order the service was excellent. Very friendly staff, particularly the manager, and the restaurant had a nice ambience. Defi itely worth a visit.

We only called for a drink but the food appeared popular. The bar area was spacious and there were plenty of tables for dining or drinks. Outside had 3 areas which looked ideal for a sunny day although the outside food menu is reduced from the main inside menu. Comfortable and friendly.

Good food, dog friendly (main bar area). A bit out of the way, but a good base for a good walk after the meal.

We were a group of 6 walkers, we all had a drink but didn't eat although the food looked good. Lovely out door seating areas. Plenty of parking space which was quickly filling up, always a good sighn.
