What a way to spend a Monday lunchtime after a walk around the Macclesfield Forest.
The pub opened at 12pm and was ready to go.

Marvelous food with a particularly good vegetarian selection on the specials board. Really nice welcome from John and the staff. Delicious pint (or two) of Black Sheep beer. Stayed the night in our campervan. Brilliant stopover - thanks all! Highly recommend!
Love this pub!! Stayed here last night in our camper van. We were made very welcome. Had a delicious meal, great menu. The car park is closed at night so is really quiet and safe. We walked around Macclesfield Forest and Teggs nose. So pretty. See you very soon! Jay & Mart Bedson x
One of the best destination pubs you could wish to visit if travelling in campervan self contained you can park overnight for free if you dine. excellant menus and food fresh and fantastic cannot recommend enough
The food here is getting better and better every time I come. Those pies especially have so much flavour. Always enjoyable and very relaxing. Lovely to overlook the reservoir.
Took my mum & dad today for the first time & they really enjoyed themselves chatting to people they do not know there both 86 yrs Dad disabled & mum got dementia so chatting to other people made a good change for them

I had the absolute pleasure to visit Leather's Smithy in the beautiful little village of Langley today.
The Leather's Smithy is a gorgeous family-owned pub and serves great food at a very reasonable price.
The location is great and there is a good amount of parking on site.

Great pub lovely atmosphere staff very friendly . We had the steak and fries salad .Really nice a big meal . Set in a beautiful area over looking a lake a lot of history. Well worth a visit .
Went for some dinner here after a walk around the Forrest . Food was absolutely beautiful I’ve been thinking about the king prawns all day !! Sat right next to the coal fire it was so Cosy! Staff great ! we will 10000% be back. Thank you !! Jordan and mica SK xxx
Lovely little place with a lovely bear garden, dog, friendly and amazing food
after one year, we came back for lunch after hiking. menu has some unusual dishes. we tried the vegetarian dishes i.e. moroccan stew, vish and chips (banana blossom), bang bang cauliflower. we also ordered poached fish and chips, deep fried squid, whitebaits. all meals were tasty. only one tiny dis
Delicious buttermilk chicken burger & quick service. Bar was a bit disorganised with glasses in random locations and some drinks didn't have ice while others did but otherwise all perfect.
The outside area is a lovely sun trap and a great spot to rest after hiking through the forest. Will definitel

Just had an amazing Sunday roast here with our dog. Very welcoming owner and staff and great service. They even provided a smaller roast dinner as I find the normal portion too large. The sirloin was cooked to perfection. Brilliant
It is a nice pub and it is in very short drive to some amazing scenery. Near the forest. The service is good and very friends staff. The main reason for 4 stars is the lack of parking spaces and it is very busy in the area but that isn't the pubs fault, overall definitely a good place to visit if in
