The Artisan restaurant at Booths in Lytham, is a large airy space above the store, adjacent to the art gallery (oh yes, there's an art gallery in this branch of Booths too ... you don't get that in Asda...). The menu is nothing especially striking, and as you would expect, given the location and its association, seeks to be many things to many people. There is a fairly extensive breakfast section, which from 11.30 a.m. gives way to a fairly standard brasserie menu, drawing heavily on produce available on the fresh food counters of the store below. Which made it all the more odd to be told that they had run out of burgers. How do you run out of burgers when there is an extensive butchery counter, including various varieties of pre-made burgers, attached to the restaurant? But it's not all shop and serve: there's some real cooking going on too.
What a gem of a supermarket! The atmosphere is lovely and there is a lot of choice. Think more Waitrose rather than Aldi. The different counters offer a lot of choice. Maybe not to do your weekly shop if you are on a budget, (although we found some excellent bargains) but for a treat, this is the perfect place to visit.
Went here for breakfast. The food was good and freshly prepared, so it was worth waiting a few minutes for it to be brought to my table. Bacon, sausage, tomato, fried egg, beans, and hash brown. There's no real place for beans or a hash brown on an "English Breakfast" so 4 instead of 5 stars.
Quality store. A proper "food hall" store experience.
Good sized supermarket with a good range of groceries. Travelled from Preston, but this store is much better than the Preston store.
Cafe is ok here on the first floor but the staff aren't so good. They mixed up order on 2 coffees? The cafe wasn't even busy so no excuse for the mistake other than sloppy service
Absolutely excellent supermarket. Fabulous and frequently local produce beautifully presented. Friendly staff and an rather lovely deli wine bar that opens Thursday to Saturday where they serve delicious platters of deli goods available within the shop. You can have any bottle of wine available in store for a £7 corkage fee. Needless to say we were so bowled over by the lovely platters and rather wonderful Trivento Malbec that we enjoyed, that we went to purchase more on our way out and stocked up on more food treats to enjoy at home. Booths is a great shop and whilst not cheap deserves your custom.
Nicely laid out ‘supermarket’, well suited to posh Lytham. Restaurant and wine bar upstairs with soft furnishings and gifts concession on ground floor. Good range of produce, well stocked wines and spirits, especially deli and veg sections. Booths, so it’s far from Lidl prices.
Booths is a comprehensive store where one can purchase goods right across the board from a great choice of wines, spirits, beers and ciders to great veg selection, bread and any consumables at the delicatessen, tinned shelves and confectionery section. Not the cheapest store but great quality and highly recommended.
I'm not a shopper. I do not go for snack or super-cut-priced. Life is too short already to have junk food. Booths has a great balnce of price and quality, but do check the labels for your specific needs.
It's a store that's catering for the posh pound. And seems to do it rather well. Couldn't find the macallan on the shelves tho for comparison
Visited the cafe this lunch and the ladies behind the counter and attending tables were just wonderful, so pleasant, happy, smiling, polite and professional, they made our lunch super
Great supermarket, not cheap but wonderful cheese selection and a lovely overall presentation
Stopped on our way to st Anne’s. Lovely shop, lots of home made produce, we had breakfast in the cafe and what a great breakfast it was, best we have had in a cafe, will definitely recommend
Plenty of choice and some different brands to choose from.
Not enough staff on the tills they expect most to use the self checkout tills at quiet times.
Lovely clean tidy supermarket; great quality of food and great quality of staff, especially Cheryl on the till.
Gorgeous upmarket shop, great deli lovely cafe/restaurant .
Always a good place to visit. I was on holiday.
