We had a fabulous breakfast this morning. Omelettes,Scrambled eggs on toast,Poached eggs with smoked salmon and hollandaise sauce. All of these were great. They have loose leaf tea that are also excellent. A very good breakfast was had by all most tables were fully booked for lunch and the for afternoon teas looked good as well. Just one thought for the chef Avo smash with poached eggs would be lovely. All so hot plates.

One of the best places I've been. The food is absolutely delicious as are the cakes. Very difficult to choose. The staff are friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble . I've been many times and taken friends and family who also have been very impressed. The only negative would be the many large pot holes when coming out of the car parks!

Friendly staff and fast efficient service. Had lunch - poached eggs with smoked salmon and holandaise served with a side salad(nice fruity dressing on the leaves!) followed by a lovely piece of spiced pumpkin loaf 😋

Best vegan breakfast in Dorset by far!! So glad they have changed the menu and are now more inclusive with their offerings. We are always so disappointed with vegan breakfasts usually but this was amazing! No Linda McCartney sausages for a start!!!🙌🏼 Tofu, mushrooms and avocado are amazing. Its all delicious to be honest. So good infact we've been twice in a week. Sally's customer service is excellent! Such a welcoming, lovely lady!! We used to visit the Barn Café often but boycotted it a couple of years ago after the terrible service and rubbish menu but it has definitely redeemed itself with this change up!! Really impressed. 10/10. :)

Large portions and great scones! Came after recommendation from my parents. The decor was quirky and the food was great value for money and delicious!

A friend brought me here praising place and food. She was so right, lovely people serve food and it tastes so good. Well worth visiting this tacked away place, also there is a garden and antique shop as well as cooking school.

Beautiful place with a lovely bustling quirky atmosphere. Staff were friendly, polite and attentive. Managed to find us a table for breakfast inside on a busy Saturday morning, and provided us with a take out cup for my coffee which I hadn't finished by the time we were leaving. Lovely outside seating area. Lots of choice for breakfast. When the full English was brought over it looked like something was missing, we checked the menu and everything was present that was advertised. We then realised it was missing Baked Beans!!! We feel this is a staple element of any Full English, and wouldn't cost much for them to include this. The poached eggs were on the under side of perfectly cooked, so was just edible. An enjoyable visit.

Delicious breakfast, although a little disappointed that the poached eggs were not poached in the traditional way. Good quality ingredients and great taste. Even better when your son pays!!

Fantastic food and great portions, I can see why it has so many great reviews. The staff were really friendly and helpful. It gets busy very quick, so you may have to wait (or book), we didn't have to wait but noticed a few did have a little wait while we were there. We sat outside, under cover. They have amazing heaters that kept us warm, despite us not sitting near the heaters so although the weather was miserable outside, it didn't affect our stay. Food selection was great. Bring your appetite as the portions were a good size, plus they have so many amazing cakes to choose from. Only down side is they don't have a kids menu, I don't think they necessarily need a separate menu, just maybe smaller portions for little tummies. It didn't affect us however as 4yo is autistic & has to have specific packed lunch, 9yo enjoyed the ham & cheese panini (pic shows half his panini as he enjoyed it so much). I would love it if they did a variety platter with the cakes, it was so hard to choose from! I had the meat quiche of the day & Jamie Dodger desert (I was stuffed and had to take some home) while hubby had omelette plus sides and 4yo had summer berious slice for dessert! It was a great afternoon out

We were a party of 6, including 2 children. We booked for 12.30. The menu is very extensive and as this was our first visit it took a while to decide what to have! The food when it arrived was very tasty and presented nicely. As the cakes looked so good most of us opted for cake for pudding, the choice was amazing and were indeed delicious. Some opted for tea and coffee afterwards. The service although friendly was a little erratic. We were right by the very noisy coffee machine which made conversation difficult. We noticed a server wandering around who kept looking at us and checking his watch. Then we saw 2 small blackboards on the table, one gave our name but with 12 o'clock written in it and the other a name and 2pm written. It was 2.10 by then! Obviously a timed use of the table. At no point either at time of booking or arrival were we told we only had the table for 1 and a half hours or that there was a limit nor were we aware on the website. We felt very uncomfortable with this and feel we should have been told. So whilst the food was lovely, the place is lovely and most of the staff were friendly, I doubt we'll be back.

What a great place. We were recommended to visitbthe Barn Farm for lunch and were not disappointed. Lovely menu, with some rather nice deserts, teas and coffee's to accompany the menu !! A great find....service was very good. Setting lovely (bit quirky, but really nice). Loved the open Beef Sandwich...a special on Saturday 18th June. Thanks Julian & Amanda

Have been here a couple of times now and its such a great cafe to stop for brunch. They do a great selection of food and cakes. We had the the cream tea and savoury cream tea, which was really good (and filling!). They are usually open for food between 10am and 3pm, There is seating outside and dogs are welcome in the outdoor areas too. There is also parking available.

Dorset Car Club went there for breakfast today, Sunday. Great staff, great food and a really nice atmosphere. Not 5 stars as we though paying the extra for hot milk with a coffee was a bit over the top.

Fantastic food and great portion sizes. The salad is really good and not just a filler to make the plate look full. Not cheap but very reasonably priced providing great value. The atmosphere is really relaxed, friendly with a family vibe. There is plenty of seating both inside and out and the staff are very nice. They were nicely busy for a late Sunday afternoon and the food arrived swiftly. We will definitely be making a return trip in future.

Stopped for a brunch, and can't complain about the food. Between the three of us we had a 2 full English and a scrambled eggs with crispy bacon. Delicious and cooked really well. However, the person making coffee either needs training or doesn't care....fyi, if you heat milk up too much you burn it, then you add this burnt lava hot milk to the coffee = ruined coffee. I stood waiting to pay and I could see this happening over and over.

Great cakes to choose from and loads of different types of tea to try. I had Jasmine Pearls, which I hadn't tried before, and would recommend it.

Brilliant! A firm favourite with me and a lot of locals. Vital to book though (suggest you ring between hours of 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.) because they are understandably SO popular! There are a few tables outside but these get snapped up when the sun shines! The food is very healthy and looks, as it tastes, superb!!

Such a lovely atmosphere in here. Went here as it was a half way point to meet my friend. I should have booked!! This place gets packed at the weekend. We went on a Sunday and as soon as it opened and just managed to get a table as every table was reserved. Amazing breakfasts, beautiful interior. Totally recommend but definitely book in advance if you go at the weekend.

Lovely cafe with good outdoor tables. Our lunch was delicious with Barn Cafe Rarebit of the day served on an olive toast topped with rarebit sauce, melted cheese and a dressed side salad and my dish of two local Free Range Poached eggs served with Serrano ham on a toasted muffin with hollandaise sauce and a salad, Great selection of home made cakes and we shared a chocolate with cream & raspberry filling. Friendly service and great place to visit with a garden centre next door.
