Can’t recommend this place enough. Wonderful lunches, cakes to die for and amazing staff in a beautiful setting with stunning views. The Owners have worked so hard to create what I think is the perfect getaway and they always take time out to have a chat . An idyllic location. I’ve been there about eight times in the last three weeks during my recovery from surgery. Even my son wants to go there for lunch everyday because their burgers are to die for!! Thank you Penrhos for always making me feel so welcome x

Came for Sunday dinner,it was packed!Food looked great and everyone enjoying themselves,Jo Jo found us a table ,and the staff were excellent, ensuring we were ok,dinner was super, perfectly cooked, which was great as often Sunday roasts are bland when cooked on that scale. What a beautiful place,I am looking forward to trying out the weekday light bites they look tempting!Very friendly and welcoming, despite being so busy all the staff were calm and smiling,The only thing that would make it better for me would be cushions on the seats cos we had bum ache by the time we finished!!

Wow! Just back from a superb lunch with my 2 little ones. The first thing my 7 year old son said when he walked out the door was how kind and friendly the staff are. He also said it’s the best fish he has ever had....and he eats a lot of fish! We are only 5 mins down the road so we are excited to come back and try some other dishes. A big hit with my kids as they love to eat out....a lot! Thank you!

Called in for a cake and coffee. The owners have done a beautiful job of the renovation. Last time I was here was when Martin Griffiths and Daphne Lambert where just starting the first renovation. Must have been over 40 years ago. The food then was amazing as I am sure it is going to be again..

First thing to say is, certainly on a Sunday, book. We were fortunate to walk in and get a cancellation but saw a few people turned away as booked up. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the setting is great and the food was fantastic and more than enough!! You have the Python's Arms (Google it) next door if you fancy a drink.

Full fry up breakfast in a converted medieval Manor House barn. Great food, pleasant staff, chilled music and a location out of this World. The history of the place is also fantastic, ask about pop group Queen, Mike Oldfield and Monty Python..'nudge nudge wink wink, say no more'😃Don't miss dining here if in area. Lodging on site available too😉

*** Having visited a few local pubs/restaurants for Sunday lunch recently, I can say without hesitation that The Cattle Shed is the best, both on quality of food and value for money. Well worth a visit if you are in the area. *** Excellent meal and lovely service from the waiting team. Very friendly and welcoming. The food was both plentiful and very well cooked. No hard parsnips or crunchy cauliflower for our meal 👍. The vegetarian option was really tasty too and worked well with the sides. Desserts were also very tasty and came with very good ice cream. Presentation was top notch and put a smile on our faces. I definitely recommend a visit as you won't be disappointed... and you wont need to eat again for several hours! 😃👍

Visited while on a local motorbike ride with my daughter. High quality food and friendly service. At the end of the meal we were not asked at the table whether we wanted anything else (I fancied another coffee!) but that's nothing major. Great atmosphere in a lovely setting and prices are reasonable for excellent food. Will definitely visit again.

Love fry up, free range eggs, decent sausages, thick bacon (fresh as hell). Beans in a ramkin dish so they don't contaminate everything on the plate. The coffee is very good quality also. Beautiful surroundings and lovely service. We will be back as this is a local legend. Friendly owners, made time for us, made us giggle. Such effort to make people welcome x will be back

What an absolutely fabulous place! On our way home from a few days away and called in on speck for coffee....how I wish we lived nearer. The cakes are to die for and the meals look good too. Staff are friendly, and a lovely atmosphere in the cafe. Talking to a couple who live locally and they visit three to four times a month - I wish! It's on a regular route for us when we visit family so will definitely be back

What a fantastic setting, barn style, rustic and totally charming staff + the chef who came out to check what the little guest wanted and cooked specifically for him! Adults too had a great lunch and very impressed with my veggie hay stack burger with a smoked bun which was excellent. A great experience and well done to you all.

Beautiful cafe, inside and out. If the Tesla electric chargers aren’t powered, have a word with the staff and they can turn them on. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. We had the English Breakfast and the portion was huge. We really enjoyed our breakfast here. It was very relaxing and enjoyable.

On a cold day the log burner is a lovely warm place to sit near. The food on the way to our holiday destination was so good, we stopped on the way back. Both meals were excellent.
