The Buttery - Lynmouth - Photo album

We had a fabulous cream tea with very tasty warm and moist fruit scones, local clotted cream and jam full of fruit. Sitting in the lovely garden by the river with it's ford and historic bridge with the Chaffinches coming down for crumbs was just an idyllic experience. The Buttery is a lovely cafe an
Lovely newly refurbished NT cafe. A great spot to have a hot chocolate after a muddy walk. Make sure you bring your wellies and wade in the ford nextdoor!
Very pretty area to sit and enjoy your breakfast or lunch. Staff lovely and helpful. Clean and tidy with indoor and outdoor seating, public toilets and disabled access. Food was freshly prepared and coffee is delicious. They also supplied maps of local walks which was a nice touch.
Gotta love the buttery @ national trust, lorna doone farm.... they've even got an ev charger they're
At the very heart of Exmoor - Lorna Doone Valley.... Not the easiest of places to get to - unless you enjoy traversing very steep hills and single track roads! But very well worth the effort... Lovely moorland riverside garden to enjoy the food and exquisite scenery... Highly recommended
A lovely place to visit with beautiful scenery, an enticing ford and many rambling walks in the area. For a great pic, drive through the ford stop and take a photo down river!
Stunning scenery, lovely place for a cup of tea and cake whilst walking.
Camped nearby, so visited a couple of times for a bacon roll. The location is fantastic, short stay car park as well as a £2 all parking behind. Like others say it's not really a pub, although it does have a couple of ales on tap and serves local ciders. It opened at 10am, and closed around 6pm,
It's a bit of a remote location but they have great scones, cakes and ready made sandwiches.
The national trust have recently renovated this tea room so it's very nice inside. They serve all the lovely cakes that you would expect from a NT eatery plus they have an alcohol licence so you can grab a beer and sit outside by the river. Lovely little spot to rest while out walking
Lovely relaxing place. Great location for a chilled day
Beautiful location and fresh from the oven fruit scones made this the perfect stop on my walk.
A rather sophisticated National Trust cafe in a stunning location.
