Stayed in the New Forest for a few days and came here for dinner with our dog on this first night. I had the chicken burger, which was not only the best chicken burger I have ever had, it was immense! My Mum had the liver and bacon which she said was the best she ever had. The servings were big and very good value for money. Our server was friendly and attentive. The dessert menu looked amazing but I was too full to try it 😞 I will have to go back again!
Four of us had Sunday lunch at the Trusty last weekend. We each ordered a roast...2 Beef, 2 Turkey and the overall menu was varied. Have to say each of our meals was exceptionally good...everything was cooked to perfection and portions were completely satisfying and well priced. We've been going to this pub for years. It has a good outside garden area and inside is functional rather than being outstanding. Externally the place definitely needs a lick of paint but don't let this put you off. It's definitely worth a visit.
Visited this charming little pub a week ago when we were in the New Forest on holiday. We were trying to find somewhere for a Sunday roast and the team at The Trusty Servant especially the young lady and man running front of house were incredibly accommodating and helpful. The roasts were HUGE as well as absolutely delicious! Even though we were all pretty full, the desserts looked too good to pass up so we shared a few of those too which were lovely! Have recommended already and look forward to returning next time we’re back.
Great pub in a beautiful setting with new forest ponies grazing out front, The pub has rooms for stays and a large garden area. Dogs are welcome and the food was very good, portions are large you definitely will not leave hungry!! I would return and recommend a visit.
Great food, service was good too. Lovely, cute country pub. Kid and dog friendly. We were waiting quite a while for the food and we had young kids so this wasn't ideal (I am aware a large function was on so perhaps this isn't the norm). We would try again if in the area.
Visited here for food 1 evening and a drink the following afternoon. Service was good and managed to seat 2 for food without booking. I had the cottage pie which was a decent portion and tasted good, it came with a side of veg but looking at some of the other pics in reviews it looks like it's hit and miss what veg you get?? I got my favourite veg so I was happy. Other half had the pork but was still hungry so dipped into mine.. Improvement here maybe?
We had desserts too, crumble and the biscoff, both very tasty. Would return if in the area again.
Had a fantastic meal with 3 friends at this wonderful pub on Saturday evening. Even though it was busy they could accommodate us and the service was very attentive with the waitress being very knowledgeable on the extensive menu. The food was brilliant and the portions were huge

Our favourite pub. Been here numerous times and every single time had amazing food. The drinks on tap are a great selection too. I cannot wait for our next visit to the New Forest so we can return.
Busy pub with friendly staff. Food was nice. We had fish and chips and beef stew with dumplings. We had cheesecake as well. Dog friendly.
A lovely New Forest pub with bags of character, in charming Minstead. We visited a couple of years ago on a cycle ride, and again today on our way down to Dorset. Great food using local produce and a good selection of beers. Recommended.
Charming old-school pub with a big garden but rather small car park. Dog friendly, nice staff. Imagine it's a great local.
A nice pub on the outskirts of the New Forest. The beer garden is well kept and a good size. The food was mixed. Some decent dishes and some more average. The staff were friendly and efficient.

I should of took pictures of the food but i totally forgot. This country pub has a nice relaxing atmosphere and is absolutely lovely it has all home cooked delicious food which is definitely worth the money. I would highly recommend this place.
Nice British pub, with amazing desert. One thing is there is no steak on the menu, there is steak pie and some slow cooked beef, but no steak 🥩 that is a shame. Very friendly service.
