Lovely little traditional English pub.
We took refuge in here as the heavens opened and the low ceilings and warm interior were exactly what we wanted. Very cosy.
We ordered the beef burger and the haddock and chips. Staff were all lovely, service was efficient, and the food itself was very good.
Came here on a Sunday with my Cocker Spaniel (Casper) at 14:00 Without a reservation, the staff were very accommodating and led me to a great table.
Roast dinners were still available so I ordered the Pork Roast. I have to say it was the most exquisite meal I have had in a long while and will remai
The burger was juicy and tasty 😋 It was a perfect place for lunch after cycling around there! The garden was lovely 🌿💚 The inside of the pub has a real old pub vibe, which I love❣️highly recommend it🤩
Beautiful pub in a beautiful area. Stopped off here halfway through a walk on a sunny day and sat in the beer garden with a cider. Staff were very friendly. The inside was really nice and the food options looked great - we’d love to come back!
Took the dogs for a walk, and then to the pub for Sunday lunch. First thing was a pint bitter shandy; didn't touch the sides. Sat in the garden before going inside for a great lunch. Food was really good, staff outstanding, all at a price that meant we had enough money for diesel to get home. Seriou
Beautiful places and food are nice, lots of spaces in and out.
The setting is beautiful and the inn itself is so welcoming and full of character. The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful, always full of smiles. The food was amazing, we did mains and dessert and enjoyed every moment! We were also able to tip using a card which is a real plus to me. Would a
Food was really good, cottage pie and Fish and chips were super flavourful. Will be going back as soon as we get a chance. Service was also top notch.
We had a lovely experience, traditional and cute pub, delicious food and friendly staff.
We absolutely loved this pub. Super friendly service. Excellent food, super fresh and delicious. We had the trout, burger and falafel wrap. Has a great kids menu also. They have a nice beer garden our the back. Super friendly spot for cyclers.
Lovely classic English pub, with excellent food and a kind service. Really nice beef cheeks with tasty mash. I'd highly recommend this place.
Best Sunday roast in the area by far. Beautiful pink sirloin of beef and crispy Rosemary roast potatoes. Delicious!
What a lovely pub to arrive at after a 40 or so minute walk from our campsite. Lovely friendly staff, super quick food, water for the dog. They even turned on some amazing weather for us. What's not to like?
Cute pub in the new forest. My husband and I visited back in December 2021 and genuinely had the best fish and chips ever! We’ve been for fish and chips around the country on many coastlines and this has been the beat by far. I’m excited to visit them again and try out the rest of the menu.
Found this little place while trying to find another one. Lovely little quiet place. Friendly and some of the most amazing food me and my son have ever had.
It's totally outstanding, and I will visit again next time we are back in the new forest.
Had dinner here on the first night of a New Forest break over New Years and was, arguably, the best meal we had there. Really nice & homely pub with a log fire etc, fabulous ambiance.
The food itself was amazing, with the game pie (main course) in particular amazing. They even brought us out (un-re
Welcoming staff in a pleasant setting. Food is a bit hit and miss. British standards are good, but I could not recommend the crispy pork. Dry and uninspiring flavour. Giving it a 4 for front of the house staff and the ambience.
We stopped there on a cycle loop and enjoyed a break and some good food. Inside looks nice and cozy, but outside is pretty bog standard. Does the job. Service was nice and staff were welcoming.
