Just had a two night stay at the New Forest Inn, couldn’t fault it, lovely location, clean room with en suite shower room, and good king sized bed.
Breakfast freshly cooked and filling.
The staff were all lovely and truly dog friendly.
We ate in the restaurant both nights, and the food was excellent.
Definitely recommend for a relaxing break in the beautiful new forest …. We will be back!
Had an absolutely fabulous meal here today. It was one of my best eating experiences. The food was first class and the service was excellent and our server very friendly. The location in The New Forest really nice and the restaurant had a really good atmosphere
Went in for a Sunday roast - was lovely! We had the lamb which was delicious. I couple of suggestions for improvement would be for a drinks menu with what's on tap. I had to get up to have a look which wasn't an issue for me, but it was very congested at the bar with staff/customers coming and going, and people drinking at the bar. The second suggestion would be regarding serving children's food. I ordered the scampi and chips for my 2 year old, but it came out of the kitchen about 5 minutes after our roasts did. It's not the wait that was the issue, but more so that my daughters food was sorching hot. I had to try and cool it down whilst my roast went cold. Maybe might be worth for the kitchen to have kids meals for the table waiting to go out first so it's got some time to cool? Also our waitress was about to hand it directly to my daughter but I intervened. I appreciate it was out of kindness but my daughter could of burnt herself had I not of been paying attention and got to the plate first.
By the by, it's a charming pub which oozes character. I look forward to visiting again soon.
The New Forest Inn is full of character and is warm and welcoming, with a great atmosphere and is well worth a visit. There's a comprehensive menu, even on a Sunday where. my wife, family and I enjoyed a great lunch. My wife had one of the best Sunday Roasts, where the beef melted in her mouth. My daughter, granddaughter and I had the home made burgers which are amongst the best we've ever had. Well done to Rob, Ellie and their staff for their great service and excellent food.
Sunday dinner, great service. Cosy pub with a huge variety of gluten free and vegetarian food from starters, mains and desert. Dog friendly.
Very nice Sunday roasts too
Had 1 nights stay here for my wife's birthday. The rooms are nice, small but very nice. The bathroom was nicely done. Shower was a bit of a squeeze for the larger gentleman.
We had the room above the kitchen which was noisy but all settled down by 9:30 so no sleep loss.
I will say the only thing I couldn't stand was the pillows 🤣 they were so stiff & bouncy I just couldn't get comfy. But overall I enjoyed my stay.
Breakfast was top notch!!
Great traditional pub with hearty food perfect for after a walk. Great location with walks right from the pub. The park is limited so many people park on the road making it a congested pinch point on the corner, we parked just 100m down the road in a forest carpark.
We went for an 18th birthday meal. The food was really good and the staff were super friendly, they put banners up for him which was amazing!
They had a pub quiz on so we decided to stay and take part and ended up winning!
Really great atmosphere as well which was nice
Had a mini relaxing break and the new forest Inn is the perfect place. Bar and dining area is very homely with log burners. The food is second to none, there specials are top notch, we go here regularly to eat also, the management and staff are very helpful and friendly, the location is perfect for walks around the area, the rooms are spotlessly clean , bed is comfortable. Lyndhurst is only 1 mile to walk to if you wanted to venture out also, highly recommend this place
Such an amazing place to stay in New Forest. The room was very cosy and clean, the manager and the other members of staff were extremely nice and helpful. The food is great. We stayed for 2 nights with our dog. We will be returning soon.
Just stopped for a cappuccino and sandwich, the Inn was beautiful and the drink and sandwich were as equally excellent. I do have to thank the staff as I left my Silverstone 90th anniversary cap there and yes they put it away safely for my return.
Again many thanks
Had a lovely walk before having a meal at the pub, stunning location, impeccable service even though they were completely booked, food was amazing and high quality. Will definitely be back!
Went for a walk in the new forest deer sanctuary and stopped here for lunch before the walk. The atmosphere was really warm and cosy. I ate lamb liver and it was divine, something I don't eat often. My partner ate a delicious pie. I would definelty come again.
GF & DF options are fantastic! Even there steak and ale pie! Vegan, GF sticky toffee pudding. Cannot recommend this pub enough, delicious food, great helpful staff and a beautiful location.
Nice place to have lunch. Good food and serving. We met a friendly local couple and their dog. It felt very warm and welcoming.
Lovely food but make sure you have a good appetite as the portions are substantial!
Good atmosphere- I like an open fire - and friendly staff.
Popped in on a Monday lunchtime, we were given a very warm welcome and a nice table near the open fire. We each had a starter and sides of chips and salad. Thoroughly recommend the sticky Korean cauliflower and the Wild mushrooms. I have to say the chips were some of the best I have had , fluffy inside and crispy outside and really hot. Thank you .
