We went to Swan Saturday night and as I have very recently had to go gluten/oat/dairy free thought I would have a limited menu choice. On enquiring was told choose what you would like from menu and chef will tweak it to suit, they even had gluten free pasta available. And a very enjoyable meal it was as were the other 5 meals on our table. A big thank you and well done Swan on superb food and service.

Lovely pub with a very welcoming atmosphere. We visited on a few occasions during lunch and dinner times while on holiday in Lympstone. Food was excellent every time and the Sunday lunch was fantastic. The pub welcomes dogs which was great too as we had our Jack Russell with us. The live band on the Friday evening was a great addition too. We would definitely visit again if we returned to Lympstone.

Had a lovely roast to celebrate an anniversary. We both opted for the lamb. The meals were substantial and very tasty. We have dined here fairly regularly as they have never let us down. Good value too.Keep up the good work and we'll keep on coming back

Had an amazing evening at The Swan. For starters we shared the generous portion of whitebait, this was delicious. For mains I had the Trio of Fish and my Husband had the dressed crab, both were beautifully presented and very tasty. The staff and service were very friendly and helpful. The plus point is they are dog friendly so we’re were able to take our Labrador pup with us. This is a real gem. Will definitely be visiting again when we’re next down this way. Thank you for a lovely evening 😀

Each time I come here, I leave satisfied and happy. Food is excellent, great value and there is a distinct community sense that makes this a pub worth a visit with a good range of ales. At present there is a £10 menu which, although smaller portions, are still excellent value for money.

Brilliant pub lunch. Great friendly service. Chicken and bacon sandwich was crammed with meat, large portion of salad, coleslaw and crisps or chips. High quality, tasty and filled a full size dinner plate all for £8. Caesar salad even bigger with lots of excellent succulent chicken and the added tang of anchovies as well as slightly soft homemade garlic croutons. Selected a salad for something light on a warm day and only just managed to finish it. Excellent value, highly recommended. Revisited two years later and a bit of a back step. My partner opted for the prawn sandwich which was large but the flavour came from the sauce rather than the fish. My own crab sandwich was really tasty but was at least 50% brown meat which made it rather expensive. Service was ok but the young girls that work there seemed utterly disinterested. We took the decision to drive there specially, not sure we'll do so again

Fabulous meal, some of the best mussels I've had in a long time. My colleague had the lobster and said it was perfect. Visited whilst in the area for work, but would return for sure given the opportunity.

My family and myself (11 in total) all went to the Swan Inn recently, to celebrate my husbands birthday. All booked in advanced and a deposit paid and pre-orders made. From the start the staff were friendly and helpful and bent over backwards to ensure we had everything we required. The meal was late coming but staff were first to act on this and with their apologies they offered us all a drink on the house to make up for it. The food was well worth a little waiting, it was hot, nicely presented and it was delicious. All in all, our experience was a lovely enjoyable night out and we would definitely, go there again.

We had a great experience. The food was delicious. I’m a lobster novice and the proprietor very kindly assisted with a very difficult claw situation 😳. The whole team was friendly and there was a great atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Top pub in Lympstone with a great new owner and friendly staff. Try the port challenge. Drink as much as you like from the port optic, hidden in a brass shell case by the clock, as long as it keeps flowing. When it stops flowing, you pay £20. Great crack!
