Lovely pub/resteraunt set right in the middle of the quaint village that is Lymm. Polite staff nothing is too much trouble, we arrived early and was seated at our reserved table, there was a lot to choose from on the 2 menus available and in the end I chose the tandoori half chicken and rice, it tasted very good. We also had the cheese and onion pie with chips and mushy peas, you could smell the pie as it was being served and tasted lovely. The rooms are light and airy with plenty of room to sit at.
It was a class of 73 reunion . The pub went out of their way looking after us all, great night.
I can't comment on the food although one or two did have light bar snacks
Called in today 2 main meals for £19.95 went for the New York chicken was delightful, tasty and cooked perfect, staff were pleasant and helpful would definitely visit again.
Visited for dinner on good Friday - food was lovely, however slightly disappointed that all the fish dishes except scampi were sold out and this wasn't mentioned when we rang 10 minutes before arriving.
The food was great and not badly priced I would recommend the steak and ale pie with the buttered seasonal veg as a side. They do a damn fine pint of Guinness, aswell. The patrons are very friendly and the staff are super attentive.
Wow what can I say, decided to try out my father's day gift "Dog friendly pub walks in Cheshire" after lovely walk around Lymm Dam finished off at the Spread Eagle in the village centre. Very welcoming reception from the owner and staff on arrival, taking time out from serving to come and ensure everything was good with our order etc and also to speak with us too. We ordered the Garden Platter which we shared and my son had the burger and skin on fries, possibly "THE BEST" he has ever had. Would highly recommend. And a little Gem on the list of revisits. Think it would be a cosy place after a winter walk.
One of those heartwarming cosy pubs in the heart of a lovely community. Great food and drink, basic but good. Love the way they always mirror the seasons with decor.
Came here on Sunday and got the "two for £20" deal on Sunday roast, amazed at the great quality and value for money.
We were seated in one of the booths which was really comfy and we had plenty of room for 4 of us, there is perspex screens in-between all the seating making us all feel safe. Staff were really friendly and everything was a smooth operation. Can't wait to come back and have another roast.
Had a buffet for 20 guests after my daughter’s christening and Claire did an absolutely beautiful job at decorating the function room for us, it was actually more than I expected and everyone commented on how lovely it was. Very reasonable prices, friendly service and great food. Would highly recommend!
Food here was great! A big effort had been put into decorating Christmas themed throughout. Staff were also very friendly and welcoming.
