This is a great place. A group of us ate here yesterday afternoon. Each and every one of us commented on how good the food was, we all really enjoyed. Roast beef was superb and generous portions 😋

Well I'm glad that the staff are so tolerant of gay people and Welsh people. They are disability friendly I even saw two staff members lifting a dwarf back onto his seat after he fell off. Little Scotty Bush they called him. The food is good and the landlord is a fine figure of a man once you get used to his Tourette's. They hold regular meetings for the alternative group to Alcoholics Anonymous. It's called Alcoholics Autonomous, if you don't fancy a drink give them a call and they'll talk you into having one.

What a lovely pub! Tucked away down a quiet lane, with some lovely walks nearby, and Lymington centre also not too far away. Very friendly landlord, who knows how to run a local pub which welcomes visitors. The food is good pub grub; tasty, good portions and well presented. Good beers and wines. Great garden and covered outdoor space. All you want from a pub! Don't ask about the Christmas tree!!

Lovely cosy place, nice atmosphere, front and back garden, wide selection of drinks, and various Sunday roast options including veggies. As it was a Sunday we had the Sunday menu options only to comment on. The portions were really generous and the service was quick and helpful, clean toilets and not very expensive per person £25 for starter+main+drinks. Nice afternoon spent in a lovely place

Popped on the off chance for something to eat and drink. Warm and welcoming. Nice outside seating areas as well indoors. Service was great. Waited roughly 10 minutes or so after ordering food. Food was delicious. Recommend the fish n chips. Definitely going back for another visit

Perfect Pitt-stop after a long bike ride over the reserve. We enjoyed some drinks in the beer garden in the sun. Great staff and looked like a good spot to eat and enjoy the footie.

Found this establishment whilst holidaying along the south coast, with numerous others fulling booked in the area, came across this place by chance. The staff were very accommodating such a last minute booking, arranging tables to facilitate us. The menu includes a good variety of dishes with most homemade and several options as specials. All chosen was delicious and evidently homemade. The pub is rather querky in decor and atmosphere, with three or so areas to dine and/or drink. Each of these has an interesting choice of decor, but generally includes a covered courtyard area, with live music, a more traditional bar area and a circus tent extension to the rear, aside from the bear garden. Overall the atmosphere throughout was very nice, would recommend booking as it was rather busy across all areas. Generally the service, staff and food were great. However, the separation of bar and restaurant staff meant that on two occasions when asking for condiments or drinks we asked the wrong staff member, who responded frankly that it wasn't their area. We did end up with all that was asked for eventually and would consider this a minor issue, as every other aspect was delightful. Would visit again and would recommend if In the area of Lymington.

Visited for a drink whilst on a walk on a Saturday in January. The inside was busy with people eating but they have a good undercover area outside with heating. Good selection of Ringwood beers and cider. Menu looked good with gluten free options. Freindly staff.

Walked around the salt marshes to this beautiful quaint little gem. What a delight. A delightful selection of dishes to choose from and plentiful too. Service outstanding. Excellent selection of drinks. Can sit in the courtyard surrounded by vines, indoors or in a secluded walled garden. Will definitely be back. Thank you for some priceless memories.

Took my husband and son here while down on holiday. They both went paddle boarding one day and the next time they went on inflatable obstacle course. They both really enjoyed both activities. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There were gazebos up that you can sit under if you are spectating which is really useful as the 2 days we went the weather was really hot. Would definitely recommend here and we will definitely be going back again when we are down there on holiday.

Lovely pub, friendly staff. Second visit has made me edit this as it's top notch. Outside area is brilliant and has so much to offer, heating is available if it gets cold. Covered seating area and big TV screen outside is great. Dog friendly.

Just had lunch here with my sister and her family including a 6 and 2 year old. Lovely pub with lots of character. A great outdoor undercover seating area with big screen TV and patio heaters. Food portions were very adequate and all in our party enjoyed their meals. I went for the battered cod and chips and certainly won’t need to be eating dinner tonight. If you’re in the area it’s well worth a visit. It’s off season at the moment however it was still pretty busy. We didn’t book ahead and were fortunate to get a table. Probably best to book ahead if going during busier times.

Very welcoming and great service. We visited recently as a large group with lots of young children and they were so welcoming and accommodating which made what could’ve been quite a stressful trip out much easier! Lovely pub with a great garden area. The lasagna was delicious!

Really friendly pub with great food in a lovely setting. Quite the hidden gem within Lymington. Tucked away down a country lane you would never know it’s here! Strongly recommend their food! From Burgers, Ploughman’s to Salads! The food here is great. Also in the spring/summer months you can sit out in the walled garden and bask up the sunshine! Surrounded by a lovely flower bed, listening to the birds and enjoying great food and drinks. Love this little pub, fairly priced, friendly staff. I would strongly recommend.

A truly warm country pub welcome with excellent food and two lovely outside areas. Fish and chips were perfect, the burger was enormous and seemed homemade. Top notch landlords - would definitely be my husband's local if we lived nearer (according to him).

The pub is great and I am sure the locals get a warm welcome. It could be a bad day but the staff came across as dismissive and not welcoming. The food was ok. I ordered a prawn cocktail which was pretty poor. A spoonful of defrosted prawns and a poor quality sauce.
