I would just like to say a very big thank you to the staff at wallhampton arms for your assistance today. We were visiting for the first time today with my husband, our little girl and my husbands grandmother. Unfortunately I think the heat got too much for his grandmother at the ripe old age of 91 and she collapsed just outside the pub. The staff responded really quickly, with water, cold compress and calling an ambulance. They even went so far as to make my daughter some lunch as by this point she was tired and hungry! Luckily, the ambulance staff discharged my husbands grandmother after a check over and at her insistence, we managed to stop for a bite to eat. The staff were so helpful and patient with us and I certainly wouldn’t hesitate recommending them to anyone. I’m looking forward to visiting again under less stressful circumstances!
Excellent service, the Carvery was very tasty and the childrens meal was perfect. The staff had all the time for us and the price could not be beaten. Will visit again and recommend a meal here to everyone!
Had a great day, with great staff happy to take photos of our whole gang for Grandma's 90th. :-) The carvery was the best ive had anywhere & un-like others they dont skimp on the meat where you can have all three

Excellent pub, delicious food. Was very busy today, but as there were 4 of us with a baby (needing a high chair), we pre booked a table and was seated with plenty of room to manoeuvre.
Excellent reasonably priced food.....went Thursday nite and enjoyed so much we went back for the carvery on Sunday....friendly, inviting country pub.....highly recomnend...
I've stopped here several times on the way to, or returning from the Isle of Wight ferry.
Always had an enjoyable meal and found the staff very polite and helpful.
Trip advisor recommended this restaurant and I have to say it was one of the nicest meals I've had in Avery long time. My husband and I chose the carvery and we were not disappointed. Freshly cooked food, piping hot and tasted terrific. The main menu had plenty of choice also. The restaurant itself was busy but very comfortable and there was no rush with our meal. Staff were wonderful, very welcoming and could not do enough. We live in Hertfordshire and would definitely visit again
Went with family to the Cape to Cairo evening on Friday. The food was excellent and so was the singer. Staff were great. Hoping there will be more evenings like this to come and in the meantime we hope to return and enjoy the menu and the beautiful venue. Very well done to everyone involved.
Great pub on a busy road with plenty of places to leave your bike.Food, drinks, service all top notch with fantastic art to peruse while refreshing your spirits with much glee, merriment & frivolity with friends & families.Enjoyed at leisure to the maximum. No smoking. Dogs by permission!

We always come here for family celebrations. The staff are great - friendly and welcoming. Yummy food and lots of it!
Friendly staff, generous portions, carvery was amazing! Cosy and homely atmosphere
Lunch in the bar area with 2 dogs and all of us were made to feel very welcome. Nicely spaced out and great food. Smaller portions available of most mains and main price is generally in £10-16 range. Friendly staff too. Would go again.
Lovely staff here. Food was ok, chips were lovely. I had the fish too. The atmosphere was good and there were plenty of seating when we arrived.
Lovely inside and no garden as such but a nice courtyard and picnic benches with flowerpots etc as you drive in. Only had drinks/snacks but a good selection and food others were eating looked nice.
Cracking good restaurant ! Four of us turned up on Saturday night we had a wonderful evening friendly helpful staff and a really special meal Thoroughly enjoyed by all of us The young lady with green nails deserves a special mention (teased all evening )

Seriously unbelievable food and service. We turned up without booking (7 of us) and the service we received was second to none and the food was well worth the money. A big selection of food on offer and large portions too. Highly recommended!

Very friendly service from Ryan and Ruben. Food is good, but the friendly feel of the staff is what counts. Thoroughly recommended.
Great family meal. Lovely friendly staff. So helpful with lively toddler and very dog friendly.
Bit of track to town but. Still a lovely location and it keeps you fit. Food is great and staff more than happy to help
Worked that this lovely family eatery for almost a year as a Chef de Partie a few years back.Busy carvery & popular, lovely setting. Will come visit again on my sojourn back to UK quite soon to regain special memories.
Sunday carvery, first class meal, excellent friendly service. Limited on choice of some drinks, but this did not detract from a super meal.
Went with a friend for dinner. The pub is under new management and the goid is excellent. Local.produce is used wherever possible with a friendly hist and hoid service. Highly recommended.
This is my first visit for a couple of years, it has been redecorated and it looks clean and tidy.
The staff were very pleasant.
My party had the Sunday carvery which is our normal, I would have to say it was good but not as good as it used to be. It might be the sign of the times.
This will not stop me returning.
Lovely owner, she was an absolute love and made us feel very welcome. The bed was amazing, comfy and the room was spotless.
My son and me stayed for one night, he loved it to. Breakfast was good too and lots of variety to choose from.
Lovely place to have a drink whilst out cycling. Friendly staff and nice seating outside.
We enjoyed our stay. Walhampton arms easy to find with plenty of parking in a quiet location but close to I.O W ferry / Lyminton. and central for most attractions. Bedroom ( superior king ) was good size with comfy bed and good size shower. We were made very welcome and variety of items for breakfast ( cereal/ fruit/cooked ). Catered for gluten free for cooked breakfast and the evening meal.
