Great service and lovely deco. Delicious food. Surprising for the location as I expected much loved quality
The only small note is their coffee isn’t the best and no vegan dessert but that’s a very small note.
Lovely place with very nice décor and a fantastic outside area / deck - imagine this is stunning in evening.
The place is up a set of stairs (not sure if there is accessible access) - we only got coffees on a walk around the harbour / marina but they were very nice, lovely service and clean. it was just getting busy and had a nice atmosphere - is also dog friendly.
It was a really lovely meal with a lovely view and very lively atmosphere but they don't do Olive oil and the waiter we asked was almost proud of it and his answer as to why was "on 364 days we are never asked for it"
It was verging on an attitude!
But the waitress was amazing and super helpful as one of us was on a funky vegan raw diet!
We heard that Johnny Depp occasionally dines here. The chips I had were a bit thinner than I expected, therefore more like fries. The mussels we had could be more fresh. Maybe the season is not right? Everything else was perfect, even on a rainy evening.
We had the moules frite and wild mushroom risotto. Oh gosh! What a treat. The risotto in particular.
Staff was very friendly and efficient.
We finished our dinner with an Affogato with decaf espresso.
(Sorry, didn’t make the photos. Our spoons were faster to get it)
Lovely please. Highly recommend.
Lovely bar/restaurant recommended by the owner of our accommodation. Nice outdoor terrace and delicious Cray fish sandwich.
A very nice place to sit and have something to eat or drink in both summer or winter. Nice food and the staff are lovely too.
Great dinner for 2 on a Tuesday evening. Lovely atmosphere and view. The restaurant is actually in the marina, on the first floor, with a bar deck. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had the hot and cold salmon starter for 2 people, which came with chunky bread. What would have been nicer would have been if the butter was in a bowl rather than putting 6 little packs of anchor butter on the table. We both had the dressed crab for our mains at £28 each. It turns out the crab was undressed, but was absolutely lovely. It came with fries and salad. All in all with 2 bottles of wine we spent £170, including the tip, but the 2 bottles of wine we chose were £38 each, but there were much cheaper options. I would go back if we visit Lymington again.
The food was fantastic! The places is great, view of the marina and great decode made it a wonderful afternoon.
Unfortunately, the experience was let down by the service. It took a long time to get served, eventually had to call someone over to take an order. I had to order drinks from the bar myself. Then after three attempts to get attention for the bill, I eventually walked over to ask or it, that too was ignored, so finally just walked up and told them I want to pay.
I appreciate they were busy, but just because the table we were sitting at wasn’t in the main restaurant, doesn’t mean we deserve any less attention. A paying customer, whether sitting in the main restaurant or the bar area, they are all the same. The menu was the same, the drinks were the same, and the money you charge and customer pay is the same, so please treat them the same.
My wife and her parents had a tasty meal here in April 2022 over the Easter weekend. The food was delicious, the service friendly and attentive, and they welcomed our Maltipoo puppy with open arms.
My wife and I stopped off at The Haven during a stroll along the sea wall, on a Sunday afternoon. We sat outside, on the decking, with an amazing view! The bar staff were friendly and helpful, chatting about the various beers available. Prices were reasonable and although we didn't eat, the food we saw being served up looked great. I'm sure we will pop back and try the food sometime soon. Keep up the good work!
Stumbled upon this incredible restaurant by chance on a day trip to Lymington and managed to get a walk in table for 2 in the beautiful dining room with panoramic views.
The service was friendly and efficient and the food was delicious. The restaurant itself was full on a Wednesday lunchtime in February, which speaks for itself. We very much hope to return.
If you love boats and boaties, this is the place to be. Great views of the marina and Lymington River / Solent in the distance, good beer selection, tasty food, and service with a smile. Fantastic on a warm, sunny day, and still lovely even when the weather's not so great.
Don't be deterred by the seemingly 'industrial estate ' setting. This well-appointed first floor bar/ restaurant is set in a busy marina with many tables, inside and out, having pleasant views thereover. Extensive, reasonably priced menu with tasty, well-prepared food served by friendly and attentive staff. Very pleasant riverside walk closeby to walk off over indulgence!
Located down in the quayside in Lymington, with partial views around the quayside. Plenty of seating inside and out. Good selection of light bites, starters, mains and desserts. Prompt good service, tasty food.
The only issue was a number of flies in the restaurant that constantly bothered you when eating (otherwise would have given a 5*) another nice touch would reduce the lighting inside to make it a bit more personal and romantic.
However definitely worth a visit.
We called in today for lunch when we were passing. Thought the menu looked a bit dear, but the food was plentiful. The staff writer all friendly and welcoming. The service was excellent.
The Haven Bar and Restaurant not only has an enviable location nestled amongst the marina yachts but offers excellent food and service.
On my visit I had oysters, white bait, dressed crab and panna cotta - all were excellent.
The staff were really helpful and polite and always around when needed. And finally - a fine selection of drinks available.
Overall I would thoroughly recommend.
