This is a lovely traditional style pub with a cosy interior and spacious garden. Although we only had a couple of starters of mussels and prawns the quality was excellent. Observing other food being served confirmed our view. Good coffee also.
This is an ideal pit stop if you are walking or cycling
It's a great cosy pub, tucked away. We had Cajun Prawns (amazing) and Chicken Satay to start, followed by lamb chops and a burger. The food was fantastic, nice touch having a pretzel bun for the burger. Literally can not fault the food at all. The service was brilliant, people checking up for anythi
Really nice pub, perfect stop for a bite and a pint after your walk. Very friendly staff and good quality food. Well recommended
Came here for Sunday lunch and we were not disappointed, we all had Roast in the hole, which came in a large Yorkshire pudding, beef, pork, stuffing, parsnips, leeks, pigs in blankets, roast potatoes and with separate side plate of vegetables, we asked for some more gravy to go with it. We all le
Nice pub for lunch. The only disappointment was the 4 tiny prawns for £8. This was not great value at all.
Fantastic beer, amazing atmosphere, ok pub garden. Needs a kids play area down the back. I wouldn't pass up the opertunity for a drink at this location. Didn't eat, so can't comment on that. Visited twice
The Red Lion is a wonderful New Forest pub, in a beautiful setting and food to die for. I cannot thank the team enough for making my Mum's 88th birthday a really fantastic occasion. Jack's pink tutu was outstanding !!! The area we sat in was beautifully decorated, we had party poppers and the whole
Lovely, traditional rural pub in the heart of the New Forest. Service is wonderful, food is great. Lovely atmosphere and feel to the place both indoors and out. Nice beer garden and other outdoor seating areas which are great sun traps. Staff are very friendly and cheery. Always a scheduled sto
I've not been to this country pub for many many years.
It was a lovely pub when I last paid it a visit which was about 35-40 years ago and it didn't disappoint on this accasion either😊.
My friend and I had a drink from the bar and had a starter course of Duck pate and salad & the chefs soup of the d
Food was OK, but a bit dry. Asked for extra gravy, to be told it would cost me an extra 50p for a small jug , another table got a big jug at £2. I belong to a couple of Lunch Clubs and this is the first time that we have ever been asked to pay extra for this. Sweet was very good. When we mentioned
Popped in this evening for a meal and a few drinks.. food was amazing.. didn't think anything would top the venson Scotch eggs we had for starters.. but the steak and ale pie did.. couldn't fault anything at all.. food was 10/10 , serving staff 10/10, bar staff 10/10 . Will 100% be back when in the
Lovely pub. Good variety of beer and a very good menu. Excellent food, slightly more expensive than some other pubs, but well worth it. And pleasant staff, oh and dog friendly x
If you're around the Lymington area, get yourself down to this hostelry.
Had a lovely Sunday dinner here today. 3 of us had the pie and mash, one had the burger and the other two had the roast yorkie. All meals were delicious and hot. Would thoroughly recommend eating here.
Great little pub and restaurant. Managed to get us booked in at short notice. Food looked amazing and also tasted delicious.
The portion of onion rings is excessive! I think i got a whole onion! But they were really good.
They are keeping to distancing where possible, though they didn't take our n
Well I’m always saying this but I wish I didn’t have to share this but I love a good honest review and this place is brilliant. I went here for lunch today and the guys behind the bar are so welcoming and accommodating it was a real treat to dine here. I’d give them 10/10 just for customer service.
Highly recommended country pub in the heart of the New Forest! Wonderfully authentic exterior and interior, with a really great selection of local ales and beer. Lunch was incredible, with locally made venison sausages, home-made mash potatoes and peas.
Lovely burger, though wasn't my original choice they'd sold out of the other 2 things I ordered. Traditional pub where you can take the dogs. The area itself is beautiful. We did a lovely walk.
We had dinner as family last night, great service and great food. Staff were super helpful with our many requests. Thanks!
