Great experience :) On beginning we bean given small bowl of popcorn and after lovely cheese parsley warm rolls (heaven). AlL that was free of charge. Then we went for 3 course set menu. Belly pork is just perfect.

Lovely evening meal- soup of the day was delicious and great steaks. Interesting combinations of cuisines on menu... but did deliver on all 4 that we ordered as a group. Service was fab, waitresses very attentive & friendly. Only slight thing was bit dim atmosphere & odd layout of room. Was our first time visiting, but will be back soon!
What a gem! Beautifully presented and delicious food. All credit to the chef for the wonderfully butter soft pork I had today and banana eton mess to die for. It is very rare I experience a dessert that is freshly made including the toffee sauce, and with flavours put together so well. Loved the surprise cheese roll to start which was fluffy, light and warm with glorious butter melted on top. Serving staff were absolutely wonderful and personable. This will now be our go to restaurant every time I visit my son in Lydney. Outstanding.

Went to a Christmas Party here. Everything was lovely. The food was excellent and the servers were very friendly and welcoming.
Lovely to have this gem in Lydney open again for dining in.. Have done brilliant job all through lock down with takeaway service. You know the food is always first class and never fails to disappoint. And the staff are lovely and make you feel at ease and very welcome
Great food, great service for a reasonable price. We had soup for starters. For the entree's we had pork belly, roast beef and fish. The dessert was toffee pudding. We also had a bottle of prosecco and a pint. The total cost was £72.

As ever, the most amazing locally sourced and freshly prepared food. Friendly, attentive staff. Clean and covid safe. Not the most beautiful interior and not keen on the background music but thoroughly recommend.
Great restaurant. Best in Lydney. Superb Sunday Lunch. You won't go away hungry. The staff are not bad either. Always helpful and very friendly. Thoroughly recommend. You need to book to avoid being disappointed.

Bit of a hidden treasure as tucked away off the High Street. Excellent food and very reasonable. The daily specials look fantastic and the Chef clearely has considerable talent.....being boring I went for the Steak and chips .....the peppercorn sauce however was the best I have ever had.
