At last I found a pub with a real Menu, Not the stereo typical pre made ready wrapped garbage, that all the main chains are using. As with fresh made food there is a wait time, very understandable, You only get what you pay for and boy it was worth the wait, Just the fact that there was a choice on the menu for me was amazing, I eat out a lot and only ever order 3 starters as my main meal. Their menu has typical meals and snacks, which are not served anymore in the mainstream chains. Recommended, I will be going over to eat once a month minimal

Very cold and a lot of people wearing coats, nearly left as not the best to sit in your coat to eat. Maybe light the fire or turn the heating up a bit. Lovely food.

Extensive menu. Roast dinner available I think until 20.00 on Sunday.

We popped in for Sunday lunch was delicious as always, we have always had good hot food , good service & good atmosphere we can even take the dog which is a bonus.

Friend and I had lunch
Homemade pies were excellent...sadly we only had room for one course so subsequent visits will be necessary! 🤣
We have dined here many times. The service and food is always excellent and the pies are a must. Would normally give 5 stars but on our last visit earlier this month the pub was rather cold, too cold as to be uncomfortable. I appreciate businesses are trying to keep costs down especially fuel but if you are entertaining the public it should be warm enough to dine in comfort.
Nice pub I enjoyed it there with my family I had a long day today and it was nice to go to a quiet pub to end my day

Very friendly pub with a great beer garden and plenty of parking. Dogs are welcome, and the enclosed beer garden makes it great for children - weather permitting. The staff are very friendly. There is a good selection of beers and they are all great quality. Sadly the food is not quite as good as it could be, both the normal menu and the Sunday lunch can be bettered elsewhere. To be fair I’ve also had a lot worse food, so don’t be too discouraged.
Some may enjoy the pies which are something of a House special, but they are of the puff pastry lid variety rather than traditional pies. However don’t let that put you off, the Hollybush is well worth a visit
Nice evening with family, one of the few places locally that still does food on a Sunday evening. My parents ordered and enjoyed the roast lamb, all hot and not too fatty, the hunters (smothered) chicken also good. BBQ sauce not too sweet. Menu options are limited.

First time eating there since it changed hands. Will definitely go back again. Fabulous roast dinners and a good selection of non roast meals as well. Good quality food with generous portions all served piping hot. Great desert menu too. Our little dog was made very welcome so that's a bonus. Good selection of drinks and service was first class. Proper English country pub. Amazing food and I mean amazing. homemade food. Great selection of drinks and nice friendly service. This is our go to place for food. It never disappoints... Oh forgot to mention the pies... I've never had a pie topping like it ever.. I struggle not to order a pie every time we go
One of our favourite places to eat and visit! Dog friendly which is a must for our family. I would like to personally thank you for creating our dog feel at home whilst we had our Sunday dinner by creating his own doggie Sunday roast! Albie loved it!
Nice food and good value for money, good real ales with friendly staff
We went in for lunch and had a great meal, main course and dessert. The portions were a good size and the quality was very good. The service was excellent the server/barmaid was very friendly and had a charming manner when dealing with customers.
