Stayed one night Room was clean tea making facilities always a hit with me and there was plenty choice. We ate in the pub at night and would recommend the food. We got breakfast at morning and would also recommend. All the staff were very friendly. We took our dog with us and she was made welcome both in the room we booked and the bar. This is always a good reason to recommend a place because our dog goes everywhere with us and if she can't go we don't.
We found The Shambles by accident and decided to go in for a cup of tea. we ended up eating there. The food was the best we've had and the staff were all fantastic. It was lovely to meet everyone there and the way they helped sort us out so that mum had plenty of room for her wheelchair was just perfect. Would recommend this pub to anyone whether you just want a few beers, a nice cuppa or a meal. It is certainly top of our list.
Really nice staff, always friendly & polite, the food is lovely, always looks good on the plate & good size portions, plenty of choice, Mr & my mum had the Pork chop & Barnsley lamb chop of the specials board, yummy � x
Had a lovely meal Saturday evening, well worth every penny. Entertainment was brilliant and the family run pub gives it that family feel too.

Fantastic home cooked food. Lovely cosy and charming Inn atmosphere. Staff go out their way to provide excellent service. Nothing is too much trouble. Excellent value for money. We would definitely recommend The Shambles. Well worth an hours drive!!

Lovely Sunday lunch with family, great food especially the cauliflower cheese followed by chocolate indulgence what’s not to like.
Lovely pub and fantastic staff!! Done everything they could to help us, even so they made up a camp bed for my 5yr old as they only had a room with a double bed and there was 3 of us �. Lovely beer as well, didn't eat but the food looked amazing � and the owners were amazing too!!! Thank u for a lovely stay and will be back xxx
