Would like to share my thoughts about this mornings breakfast, most definitely made the right decision to come here for a breakfast. Upon arrival served with great customer service, well pleased with my experience and surly will come back. Can't say the same with lunch/dinner as the distance is to far to rate and review, still the chef's deserve compliments.

I have been a regular here for some years now and seen it change hands and go down hill to serving cold food and seen it come up again ... now the food is hot as well as the gravy less tables so less people more comfortable as not so cramped... am pleased decided come here today. Good food at a good price and the new staff are receptive and friendly :)
The food was the best I've had at a Stonehouse. The staff were welcoming and polite. The chef was chatty and his roast potatoes were the best I've had away from home. The surroundings were clean and tidy and a fire was burning in the grate which was a warm welcome. I will definitely be going back.
So we ordered for delivery. Lovely big juicy bit of meat and good value carvery.
However the pudding was a real let down. £6 for a pudding the size of golf ball.

Austin is a superstar! He runs an incredible service - the food is delicious (those roast potatoes!), the staff are friendly and positive and the place is spotless. Because of Austin’s high standards we are regulars and we love visiting and eating here. As we LOVE the staff, food and setting we chose to have our wedding reception here! It was the best choice we made! It is brilliant usually but Austin (and his team) really went above and beyond to make it special.
Planning: Austin met with us regularly and answered our questions and gave us some brilliant ideas leading up to the wedding reception. He as incredibly helpful and thoughtful and genuinely improved our event. Austin helped us with planning tables and helped put up decorations. Seriously we are so grateful because Austin went the extra mile!
Dietary requirements: He helped us set up a table plan and was incredibly proactive about food allergies/dietary requirements - making sure he and his staff knew where they sat so there wouldn’t be any mistakes. He made sure on the day that everyone knew the ingredients of the different buffet options and my guests told us it made them feel very safe. Austin made sure in advance that there would be enough vegan and special food orders.
Service: We had over 100 guests at our wedding and Austin (and his team) made sure that everyone got food quickly and that special orders came out at the right time for each table. Austin helped us adjust last minute changes to orders too. Our guests said how lovely and friendly Austin (and his team) were and they helped make the day special. Austin himself added some very kind and thoughtful surprises for us. Thank you so much!
With Austin in charge, we had ZERO stress. He thought of everything, was professional, proactive and so friendly! I’d highly recommend holding events here because Austin and his team are amazing. We can’t thank you enough for the wonderful memory you made with us and our guests! We’ll see you soon!
Food was very tasty! Best we've had in a long time. Shame they ran out of beef? Floor staff scruffy. Seating ripped and in a state of disrepair. Worth going through it again for the roast spuds. They were to die for!!! Simply the best!

The place was nice and clean. I had the Carvery, and the kids' meals are a very good portion size. The pub is in need of a renovation.
I was able to have a great chat with some of the locals and was made to feel warm and welcome
We booked the upstairs room for a funeral party and ordered one of the buffet choices.
Cora dealt with everything perfectly making a difficult time a breeze.
The food was delicious and there was plenty to go round.
Lovely venue, great food and all staff were kind and considerate.

I met with 5 other family members. We all had carvery . It was generous, hot and delicious. The service was excellent . My elderly dad had unlimited ice cream. We had a fantastic meal and have been recommending you to friends.
Have been several times with friends for the Sunday Roast Carvery, and it never disappoints. Meat always cooked to perfection and generous servings, and plenty of vegetables and extras to choose from. Great value for money
I really wanted a roast but my family didn’t so we went for a meal at the moat house. My wife and son had burgers, I had a carvery, it was absolutely delicious, we’ll definitely be coming back again. Top marks to everyone 👍

Chef looked after us, and made cauliflower cheese as it was all gone. The young guy Brandon, was very helpful and friendly. He chatted away to us and made us feel very welcome, a lovely young man
Came for lunch with my family and the staff were very friendly and the food was excellent as per usual definitely recommend to anyone for a great carvery
