I spent two days at The Grove, whilst on a business trip. I always prefer a pub with rooms because I expect a better atmosphere and friendlier service than a hotel. The Grove didn't disappoint. Clean, comfortable bedrooms, good food, nice beer and friendly staff. I enjoyed the little courtyard garden at the rear and exceptional breakfast.

We ate here for my wife’s birthday and had a fantastic meal, which included flowers and candles! Heather and Dan are amazing hosts and the food is always top class. With children the early bird menu is ideal and the pub has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Thursday’s steak night is always good too.

Had a lovely meal for my husband's birthday. We took Grandchildren and a puppy with us and the staff couldn't have been more helpful or patient with us. Lovely food, great environment. Definitely recommend.

A nice place , but could do with some TLC was in a room at the front , it’s not a busy road but can be noisy,

Decent pub with small sheltered garden terrace. Did not try food. Interior is pleasant and quite bright without being plasticky. Service fine.

We visited on Thursday evening for the advertised Steak night 2 Steaks for £17. The steak was perfectly cooked and very tender and tasty. We has two homemade desserts which were amazing especially the stem ginger cheesecake. Excellent value, friendly staff and great value. Well be back!

We (me any my two humans) stayed here for a weekend and had a really super time. The staff were very friendly, the food and drink was good, there are some great walks direct from the pub (eg up to Win Green and its amazing views), and best of all I got given a special cooked doggy breakfast each morning! I'm sure we'll be back again soon.

Stayed at this lovely pub with letting rooms earlier this week. Food great, lovely friendly staff and nice room with really comfy bed. The only teeny bad point was the man in the next room snoring VERY loudly which kept us awake!

Lovely pub. We were a table of 8 plus a pooch, all the staff were lovely and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. We needed easy access for a couple of our guests and our table was in a perfect position, we had plenty of space and near to amenities. Sunday lunch was delicious and plentiful. We all enjoyed our meals..perfect all round.

Lovely oldy worldy pub that we stopped at for lunch. Great food, under staffed but they did their best bless em. Dog friendly country pub. (Google seems to think we stayed the night but we didn't and I can't find how to change that)

I had a great stay here for a wedding weekend, with a group of friends scattered around in various rooms. It was a bit of a reunion and the staff were completely accommodating to that, keeping the bar open slightly later and just generally letting us relax without reprimanding us for being a little bit exciteable. Breakfast was lovely and Heather was very warm and attentive. She also did me a huge favour by sending up a package of items that I'd left due to my head being all over the place post wedding. I'm very grateful!
