We turned up just as they'd finished serving food but they kindly accommodated us. We ordered the fish & chips which was lovely 10/10. Staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was great. A really friendly lively pub..will definitely visit here again the next time we visit lovely Ludlow.

Very nice traditional pub, with a (very welcome) open fire. The food we had was good, I enjoyed the fish and chips. The Gammon was a little grisly in places, but otherwise very good. I would definitely recommend the Blue Boar if you like a good traditional English pub with good traditional pub grub. This would not be for those who are looking for a gastro pub!

We arrived at 7.50 and the food stopped being served at 8 pm. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating, with a very warm welcome with cheeful, happy smiles. They definitely went the extra mile & certainly provided us with super service throughout & a lovely, freshly made starter followed by a very tasty, good quality fish & chip supper. We would definitely recommend this establishment & will be going back when visiting Ludlow in the future. We'll done all 👌👌🙂

I've had 3 meals at the Boar and I have to say, they could do better. Please get to grips with this as everything else is spot on ... atmosphere, staff etc. and most of all I was delighted to taste their 3 Tuns beer. I'll still go back to see if they've sent their chef on a refresher course!

Possibly the best Sunday lunch I've ever had. The beef was SO tasty, crispy roast potatoes and a fantastic choice of tasty veg including cauliflower cheese, leeks, roast parsnip as well as the usual peas, carrots and brocoli. Very tasty gravy. Very warm welcome from staff and prompt service. Will definitely be back.

Came into The Blue Boar with some local brewers and drinkers to end the evening. Beer served (Black Sheep) was very good, and others thought their ales were top on too. Staff were really happy and friendly, easy to chat to. Building was clean, tidy and nicely decorated. I think it could get noisy as floor, wall and ceiling surfaces are smooth. Will call in again when next in Ludlow, hopefully.

First class and very accommodating to my fat free, whole food and plant based diet. They produced a delicious salad with added broccoli stems and mushrooms with a pyramid of rice. Quick service and remarkable value for for of us. There are even electric car chargers by the kerb side. A most enjoyable experience in Ludlow.

Fantastic unspoilt pub on the main square in Ludlow. 3 local real ales on, and lots of interesting features, such as the slightly macabre animals heads on the walls.

Superb pub in every respect. We dined on Saturday evening on stuffed aubergine and beef lasagne. The food, friendliness and stmosphere was so good that we asked for a table for the next day's Sunday lunch. Nut roast for my wife and roast turkey for myself. We both agreed it was the best presented and tasty Sunday lunch we have ever eaten out! Quality, quantity and very reasonably priced. If you visit Ludlow, i would urge you to book a table at the Blue Boar ... and no, I'm not on commission! 😄 Thankyou for two lovely dining experiences and for such a friendly welcome. Phil and Kat Carter (not forgetting Wooster the daschound and Nellie the Parsons Russell).

Lovely old pub: good beer and wine (although slightly more expensive round than elsewhere in town.

Cracking pub! Staff are super friendly and dogs can go anywhere! They even have old mout on tap!! What's even more impressive is the selection of board games for the kids to choose. I couldn't believe it was 20 mins before our 7 year old even asked for a phone. Why can't more pubs do this?
