Dropped into here on the way through on my bike ride this weekend, completely by chance. The staff were incredibly welcoming, and the burger I had was fantastic, a really well cooked piece of meat in-between a toasted bun, you'd be surprise how many places fail at that hurdle, and all the trimmings
We booked for Sunday lunch and it was a very nice roast dinner. Plenty of it and steaming hot. Puddings were amazing too. Service was attentive and also very good.

WOW! absolutely lovely, the steak melts on the tongue without the need to chew. The 10oz fillet steak is the one I'd recommend. Staff and landlady are welcoming and friendly in a typical old village pub. Definitely going back.
First time here went with few friends for the evening and I can say is it’s got amazing food, service is 10/10 friendly atmosphere definitely recommend this place and even have a good size garden

Exceptional service. Dealt with a fussy eater (gluten & dairy free) aka me - extremely well & nothing was too much hassle. Very attentive service yet casual enough not to be overbearing and on a busy Sunday too.
Would highly recommend the vegan chilli even for non-vegans and the Golden syrup sponge
