Busy Saturday morning. Near a train station. Toilets are upstairs and through the upstairs seating area. Bar upstairs also. Big windows. Nice and bright 🌞 spaces. Traditional breakfast was good.
Had a very nice breakfast here reccomend the pancakes
I have been going to the Monday quiz for the last few weeks.
I had the mixed grill this week and it was really good.
Last week I had the bangers and mash and the sausages and gravy was really tasty.
The staff were all lovely especially the ladies upstairs where I was sitting, they were polite and very funny.
For the price you really can't complain.
An exceptional 'spoons in Lowestoft. Two levels of lovely dining areas with two bars. Standard spoons fayre and great staff as usual.
Was a Saturday afternoon and extremely busy we used the app to order food and drinks. The drinks arrived within a reasonable time as did the food we expecting a longer wait.
No complaints.
Couldn't fault it. Good prices, nice staff, good atmosphere.
My small Haggis, neeps and tatties were very nice and the guest ale (Cairngorm Nessie's monster mash) was kept well enough.
The food and beer was also served quickly. Good prices, of course.
Very close to Lowestoft station, so very convenient before heading into or away from town.
One of the best wetherspoons around. Not too busy on a weekday, attentive and patient staff who are friendly and check in with how your meal is. Affordable meals for better prices than at other branches. Plenty of space and kept clean too. Much recommended.
Was able to get some food at 9pm on a Thursday evening when other places in the town had already stopped serving food much earlier. Although some dishes were out of stock (steaks), the festive menu was on, so I went with the chicken and stuffing burger. Pigs in blankets were unavailable, so I asked for a normal sausage instead which they were happy to provide.
Huge venue, very cheap beer and food, polite and helpful staff and well managed. The app works well too for ordering tonyoue table. Well presented with a bit of character. Toilets are upstairs (as well as copious additional seating) but there is a lift to get there as well as stairs.
For what they are, they do it very well, so the removal of a star may seem a little bit unfair but I feel it is justified because nobody noticed the man on the table behind where I was sat emptying the contents of his stomach into a splattered puddle on the floor under the table.
Credit to the staff, they responded pretty quickly when I informed them about it and seemed remarkably unphased by the situation, but the dude was stood there vomiting for about 5 minutes and nobody offered a bucket or assistance or even noticed.
Really busy Saturday lunchtime, the place was full. The staff were amazing to cope with the large amount of orders to process, prepare and serve. We felt for them, whatever they are paid - it's not enough
I have been in Lowestoft in middle-March, during a research and study trip.
The last day I was looking for something to eat and, in front of the train station, I found the Joseph Conrad!
A large hall plenty of space, in very peaceful english atmosphere. Very good prices, particularly if compared to London, where I was coming from!
The staff was very kind and friendly.
I was in a hurry, so I just ordered a fast gammon ham, eggs and chips, and it was ready at a stunning speed!
To drink, this time I ordered just a coke.
I liked this place and I think I would like to try it again
Visiting Lowestoft to see family, Sat 17 Feb 24, busy day, went to Joseph Conrad, been a few years, it was great to visit a wetherspoons again, my local one has closed, and another ones transformation closed - stopped. What a price for my drink !! Fantastic. Food was good, well cooked and hot, place was clean for a Saturday, a few noisy peeps, but, Saturday and they were socialising. Good experience for reasonable price - app was used, and everything arrived correctly.
Excellent spoons. Very quick delivery of food & drinks ordered on their app. Good atmosphere, lots of little nooks and crannies. Great value
Great Atmosphere, food just as you would expect from a Weatherspoons so good but not great. Staff friendly & very helpful just wait time for food ordered via the app can be long

Located opposite Lowestoft Central rail station and near South Beach, the Joseph Conrad is ideally situated for visitors.
There are two large floors inside and plenty of wooden tables outside, some under cover.
I find the service pretty fast and friendly and ordering via the Spoons app is quick and easy.
The venue is large enough to make social distancing fairly stress free.
Extremely busy over the time we were there, but the lunchtime menu was very reasonable, and the food was excellent.
We'll go back again when it’s not quite
so frantic.
