Went there for 2 dinners while staying in the area. Lovely staff, really good food. Compliments to the kitchen. Quite quiet when we were there, but there's a big beer garden, so I would think it gets well busy in good weather!
Visited as a family of 6 after looking through many choices on Google, it caught my eye as the food looked freshly made from scratch so I called and they confirmed that it is. Me, my partner and our dog came here new year's day for a couple of drinks. Such a lovely warming, friendly country pub! The staff are so friendly, they take the time to have a little chat with you! Our little dog loved it so much, she was sitting with her paw on the bar!

Had a great evening at the DukesHead with the family, celebrating my granddaughters birthday. The food was very good, the service was excellent. The pub was full, mostly families enjoying great food in a great atmosphere. If you want somewhere different to go,the Dukes Head is a great place to visit

Great little pub in a nice area. Staff are always friendly and the pub is tucked away so it’s peaceful - fantastic in the summer and not too far to the train station.
Last night was our first visit and it certainly won’t be our last. The menu is big enough to be well balanced but not so big that one starts to worry about ’ping’ cuisine! Idyllic pub in a beautiful location. We received a lovely warm welcome and our dog received a lot of attention so she was happy! Food was outstanding and we can’t wait to return.

I've always liked this place, it's atmosphere is relaxing and cosy, with an authentic large fireplace.
This is a lovely place to eat and drink. The gardens are natural and spacious. The age group is a nice mix. I often visit there in the summer months.
Always a fantastic experience, . So cosy and dog friendly. Beautiful roast dinner and had a particularly fab dessert (white chocolate and passion fruit cheesecake on the specials board). Staff are lovely and we were lucky to be squeezed in on a busy Sunday lunch.
