Really really lovely top quality & very tasty food! .. sausage rolls n cakes to die for! But great place & food all round .. highly recommend. The only 2 things I can think of that would make it Even more awesome in my eyes... is if it was open Sunday & if they had a bit more space

Booked a table for 3 end of January 2018 for afternoon tea, to celebrate our sister's birthday. We chose the mixed selection of sandwiches, savouries and cakes at the time of the booking and looked forward to our little get together having heard great things about this quaint little place. Well, from the very moment we walked in we were greeted like 'old friend 's ', the young ladies who served us were friendly and attentive without being over the top, the whole time we were there we never felt rushed and they were very busy at the time. The table was set with charming old fashioned bone china, perfect for our leafed tea and the food was displayed on 3 tiered china cake stand, arranged perfectly. The food was plentiful and beautifully made, a mixture of white and wholemeal sandwich fingers with various fillings, warm savouries of sausage rolls, cheese scones and mini quiches and then the cakes. ... oooh the cakes �, Victoria sponge slices, chocolate squares, little pots of lemon posset and fruit scones served with generous pots of jam, fresh cream and butter. We couldn't pick a favourite because everything we had was so delicious, the birthday girl said it was the best afternoon tea she has had (beating the Savoy and the Ritz, London ). The whole experience was wonderful from start to finish, and we will definately return. Would I recommend this place. ...Absolutely! .... If you're thinking of trying it out, book it. .. we loved it!
Absolutely fantastic afternoon tea today. all staff so helpful with everything since the day I booked. accommodated my increasing numbers and dietary/fussy requirements. All food was fresh and tasted lovely. everyone commented that it was the best afternoon tea they've ever had � and at such a reasonable price. well done ladies (and man), keep up the excellent work and baking x
came here today whilst on holiday and I must say 10/10 we had the sweet and savoury afternoon tea it was amazing. staff are all lovely and welcoming too! great place and a must visit!! once again thank you for making my mum's birthday special x

Absolutely gorgeous afternoon tea this afternoon. My friend and I were totally stuffed, everything was made and cooked to perfection, I can highly recommend it and will definitely going again. Very friendly and attentive staff.
Fantastic tea rooms, and amazing afternoon tea. The tastiest home made treats. The staff are wonderful and welcoming. Went above and beyond for a baby shower we recently had here. Would recommend to anyone!
Best cafe I have been to freshly made food full English breakfast to die for if no room for cake you can take it home so friendly in there
Came here for breakfast as we were away on a mini break, amazing little find! Breakfast was cooked to perfection, very impressed! Also took away a slice of lemon cake which was so scrumptious! Highly recommend!
My first visit today and what a lovely little place, great food, friendly service and the carrot cake was amazing, would highly recommend to anyone and we will be visiting again!
Had an afternoon tea yesterday, and was bloody lovely. Everything was so fresh and tasty, staff are very accommodating, as I have a fussy mother on the sandwich front 😂

My family and I have just enjoyed delicious tasty sausage rolls followed by Chocolate, Bakewell and Carrot cake. The decor and service was excellent. Would highly recommend.

Been a couple of times now and it’s amazing me and a friend went in and had a few items the sausage rolls are to die for the cheese scones divine and the cake well if you can’t decide take some home we did,lovely place can’t wait for my next visit ��
Myself, mum and sister had an afternoon tea at this lovely quaint cafe. The setting was lovely in the village of Lound. The food was so fresh, homemade and absolutely delicious. The owner and staff member were both pleasant and polite, and they couldn't do enough for us. We would recommend this place to others, and will go back ourselves. Thank you. 😊

Visited The Mardle today for my partners Mums 60th birthday treat. We had afternoon tea for 4 people.
The cafe had just ourselves in, so felt very private.
The lovely owners made us feel welcome and spoke to us about all sorts of things, before bringing us our afternoon tea.
The food was amazing! There were all sorts of sandwich flavours. There were hot mini sausage rolls, hot mini quiches. There were chocolate cake bites, cheese and fruit scones. Victoria sponge cake wedges. Coleslaw. Cream. Jam. Butter. Freshly brewed tea and coffee (unlimited). All the food tasted amazing and we even took the rest back with us that we couldn't possibly eat.
We were never made to feel uncomfortable and the owners had warm welcoming smiles and made us feel at home.
There is an easy to access doorway and plenty of room if you are in a wheelchair or have pushchairs. It has a friendly atmosphere and nice for all ages.
There is no parking for the cafe itself, but plenty of parking outside. It is easy to find via sat-nav or by eye.
A little gem among Lound. Would 100% recommend and would definitely be re-visiting. They even had duck food for sale, which we bought and went and fed the ducks nearby after as well.

Came in for afternoon tea for two which had all been freshly prepared this morning... was greeted as soon as we walked in and the staff were all so helpful and attentive to our needs throughout our visit. The food was absolutely delicious and even though we were unable to finish it all, they boxed up what was left for us to take home.. so so highly recommended and will be back again very soon :)
Great little place to come and have breakfast in a lovely part of the Suffolk country side plenty of nice walks from here or to here .A warm welcome greats you here .
Beautiful little cafe in a beautiful little village!

Amazing food as always. Really enjoyed the sausage rolls and the cherry Bakewell cake as did the Wife! The cafe was spotless and the staff was amazing as always. Really recommend visiting the Mardle if your in the area and get the chance!
This is a spectacularly lovely cafe.
All the cakes and scones are home-made each day and the results speak for themselves - everything is so fresh and tasty!
There is table service and the staff are friendly and welcoming.
If you are looking for a nice stop somewhere then this place is a must.
Had breakfast here today. Food freshly cooked to perfection. Everything was absolutely delicious and the best breakfast I've had out in ages.
Highly recommended and will be trying the afternoon tea next week now.
The Mardle is a lovely friendly Cafe and it has great food, especially the sausage rolls which are the best.

Fantastic food, staff were lovely couldn't do enough to help, we ate in and took a selection of their home made cakes away with us, we couldn't finish the food so they boxed it up for us to take with us, highly recommended

We found this lovely gem of a family-run café today by chance. We enjoyed a cheese scone and a sausage roll, both of which were of a superb quality. The staff were very friendly and I must say their premises were spotless. All highly recommended.
Wonderful rural setting. Very accommodating and helpful staff. Best sausage rolls I have EVER eaten. All the cream tea my daughter in law and I ate was delicious. There was SO much my son was treated to a "doggie" bag!!! Had wonderful time. Thank you 👌
Amazing afternoon tea, the best around for sure! Me and my friends come here under normal circumstances and you always feel welcomed and the customer service is amazing! I have ordered a couple of afternoon tea takeaways while in lockdown and they have been just as tasty! The price is so reasonable, this literally is the most generous afternoon tea we’ve ever had! :)
