Been here a few times when I visit Lowestoft. My partner used to come here a lot when it was called Alan's back in the day. She said it has changed a lot and I really like it the interior it is very contemporary and stylish. The food when I have visited has always been good and decent portions. There are different offers on for example three courses for £13 or two for £9.95 and an eat as much ribs as you like for £16.95 or £11.95 on a Monday as well as their normal number. This variation helps to keep people coming through the door as it was pretty busy for a Tuesday afternoon. Would recommend thus place to anybody and everybody.
Had a lovely meal. Steak and bottle of wine for two people £30. Freshly cooked and hot with real onion rings too. Not frozen! Friendly staff. Good value.
Another place we went with friends for a my birthday meal, not been in a while and as it was central & plenty of parking (after 6pm free in main car park)
The staff were very good to us and there was plenty of them this time.
The place is done differently inside and pretty cool as the children loved it.
The food is on a massive scale & you get so much of it for your money!!
Well worth the trip visit if you’re a big eater also smaller plates available too..
The menu is mainly meat yet plenty of other options too.
They have high stool and tables so if you wish for a table then book for a table.
Another place we will are going back to very soon with other family & friends.
Thank you for having us as guests in your outstanding restaurant.
The food was delicious, a significant degree of care and attention had gone into the cooking and presentation of our food.
We were a walk in and a table was made available to us without any quibbles. Elise (I think was the name of the young lady who took care of us) was very polite and made us aware of the full range of menu items on offer. I couldn’t quite believe the portion sizes and the value for money, it was almost too good to be true!
The setting was one of a kind, great decor and the indoor lighting only got better as the evening drew in.
Thank you to your team for making our of the chance visit a memorable one.
Several people recommended going here so thought we would try it for a birthday meal.
Loved the modern inside with all the different lights. Staff very attentive and friendly. I had Prawn and Crayfish salad, the portion size was huge, lovely salad with lots of different fruits in it as well, amazing. If you have something from the grill menu , like the rack of ribs, it comes with a selective free drink. Very impressed, will be returning soon.
Visited yesterday as a family of 6 including two adults and 4 children. The location is hard to find, you need to turn left and keep turning left until you are outside it, you will think it's a path for pedestrians but no you keep going and eventually find spaces right outside the window. Our waitress was Sophy, such a lovely person, funny and happy all the way through. The bar is really cool with stylish interior, walls full of bubbles, floor to ceiling glass looking out to sea and nicely dressed tables. An immaculately clean highchair was there as well which is a first. Husband had the lamb shank that fell off the bone, he said it was the best he had ever eaten. I had prawn and crayfish with side salad and chips, onion rings and coleslaw (onion rings were an extra side) and it was well presented, tasty and a good sized portion. Children had sausages, chips and veg, prawn cocktail with caviar (and actually liked it lol), kids meals included a drink and ice cream. Every plate was clean at the end, that's a first for us eating out as the kids usually don't like something. The puddings were the usual run of the mill shop bought stuff so they weren't as good as the main but all in all we loved the vibe, the decor and the effort. Bill was £80 for 2 adult meals, a starter as a main, 2 sides, 2 kids meals and desserts all round. Tables were cleared promptly, nothing was too much trouble and Sophy was lovely to the children as well as us. I feel she's an asset to the company and I hope management see this review
There was only one negative and that's the really restricted drinks menu. They only have lemonade or coke, and only one type of cider (strongbow)!!!!
First time eating at Iconic. The place was quite dark inside, so I needed my phone torch to read the menu. Choice of food excellent, and prices reasonable. The food itself was delicious and very generous portions. My drink was also free as I chose a meal from the grill section. Only down side was the toilets were downstairs, with my poorly knees I couldn't use them as I couldn't get to them. I will definitely be going back though and hope the public loos opposite are open 😁
Went to Lowestoft on a business trip, walked all around looking for somewhere to eat and almost gave up. So glad i found iconic the ribs were amazing!
Had a fab Father's Day meal at Iconic. Sharing fish platter was amazing, so nicely presented and tasted yummy. We all had the roast dinner which at £9.95 including a free drink was a bargain and again really lovely, all freshly cooked and loads of it!! There was 4 of us, we had 3 courses, a drink each and coffee and the bill was £82. I think that's very reasonable and the food was really good along with lovely service and nice friendly staff. Public parking right by the venue too for a small charge. Will definitely be back again when visiting parents. Highly recommend!
Great staff, friendly great atmosphere.
