My brothers wedding was fabulous. The management and staff could not do enough for us. The food and service is outstanding, it definitely has that wow factor.
Would highly recommend. We look forward to visiting you all soon
Thanks again to everyone.
I was stunned by this lovely pub. Directions included turn left at " the cobbles" We did just that to find a tiny hamlet of houses, a pub and a beautiful church. Sometimes I struggle with pub menus but not this time. I ordered sea bass and little more than 15 minutes later my meal arrived. The fish was cooked perfectly and the gnocchi, pancetta and veg were really tasty. Staff attentive and friendly. 10/10
Went here for Sunday lunch yesterday for my mums birthday with the family, the service was fantastic from start to finish, very friendly staff who had great knowledge of the menu. The food came in good time and was delicious. One of the best meals I have had in a very long time! Thank you :-) will be back again soon!
I just love this place. My second visit was a couple of days ago, again for lunch and was as good as the first earlier in the year. The staff are attentive, the food is excellent and the added bonus this time was being able to sit in the garden before and after the meal. I will hopefully visit again soon.
For anyone with any specific dietary requirements, this place is amazing. The chef came out to speak to us and came up with meals from scratch to accommodate people with allergies. They were so helpful and the food was great. Will definitely be revisiting!
Had an amazing experience at the Bells on Sunday 7th January excellent service and extremely tasty Sunday lunch highly recommend
A hidden gem, friendly staff, lovely food & drink.
Had a lovely meal yesterday with the family for my mums birthday. We had a lovely table by the window, it was so cozy and lovely atmosphere. The food was fantastic and service was fab with very pleasant friendly staff
Absolutely incredible food!!! Beautiful setting and the best pint of Guinness in Cheshire, easily!!!
Lovely food , great service, beautiful setting, really enjoyed our New Years dinner. Thank you to all the staff .
If I could give 6 our of 5 starts I would. Went here for a birthday meal and they surprised us with a desert for the birthday girl. None of it was arranged, they just saw the cards and took a chance. Fab service and absolutely amazing food! Can’t wait to go back!
Incredible food, beautiful surrounding and very good service. A guaranteed pleaser for any occasion.
Once you've been you will be going back regularly, like we do.
Food very good, service and staff very friendly would reccomend lovely little spot
Fabulous meal, really lovely setting, great staff - can’t wait to come back
Fabulous food and really attentive staff! My first visit here after living so close for so many years, will definitely be returning again and again! Lovely and really made my mother in laws birthday special! Thank you
Perfect in every aspect. Stunning food and staff are exceptional. Highly recommended

had a great meal good portions lovely staff and nice surroundings
Restaurant quality food in a pub setting. Incredibly impressed with every course. Sticky toffee pudding was a life changed experience! Amazing.
Great place, fantastic food, great service, spotless
Great food and wine, amazing staff. Love it here.
Perfect in every aspect would definitely return a and recommend
The Bells of Peover, aside from sounding like a urine infection, was not our first choice for dinner en route to a 60th party in Macclesfield – that option fell to The Wizard in nearby Alderley Edge. Somewhat fortunately, the lady who answered the phone for The Wizard had been taking customer service notes from RyanAir and spoke to me with a disdain not seen since The Cold War. A quick search on the internet, followed by a much nicer phone call and we were soon driving up the cobbles into this tucked-away gem.
Go hungry and leave with a belly bursting with good food and a heart full of contentment. This is one of my new favourites.
My wife started with the Pork Belly with slow cooked, quail egg & pineapple chutney. The food came attractively presented – way beyond our expectations of ‘pub grub’ although a pet peeve of mine is chefs who stand pieces of meat upright… all was forgiven though when I tasted the pineapple chutney – skilfully balanced flavours.
Great menu and food, great service and great restaurant area. Would recommend for a quiet family lunch or evening meal followed by a walk around the church yard.
What can I say top stars all round from being greeted at the door to the service was just amazing thank you to all the bells of peover staff. Food was just delicious and I will definitely be back.
Took my Dad today for Sunday roast which was excellent! Great beers on offer and the staff were brilliant especially Angela. Definitely will be back to try the rest of the menu!
An idyllic setting in a lovely Cheshire hamlet, involving traveling up a cobble road to takes you to the Bells.
Clearly proud of their connections in the area with the former US Air Force Base They have some lovely internal areas and have made excellent use of the outside space, which must be very busy during the Summer months .
All of the front of house stuff where bright and attentive and there was very little weight between courses or for pre-dinner drinks.
My partner and I opted for the roast beef Sunday lunch a beautifully presented plate however I felt the roast potato had hardened somewhat and had lost some of its flavour. The beef was succulent, and I particularly enjoyed the red cabbage.
The Dessert menu caters for all tastes and we were not disappointed.
Two course meal for two, with wine and coffee came in at £115, which is what I expected in the area.
I look forward to visiting again to find the fire lit in the cold months that will be coming.
Enjoyed our lunch here. Beautiful pub in gorgeous setting. Lots of history. Friendly service and food arrived promptly, which was expected given it was quite quiet. Would definitely return if in the area. Happy to recommend.
Excellent, delicious meals and very good value for money. The staff were very friendly and service was great. Great children's menu too. I would definitely go there again.
We came for lunch, arranged to sit outside for drinks beforehand, having booked a table inside. It was a glorious day so a really nice place to sit in the sun. Staff were great in sorting out an outside table, shade etc. We asked if we could have our starters whilst outside and mains meal inside. No problem with sorting that.
The setting as you go into the main restaurant is phenomenal. The wisteria is stunning. Makes such an impact. The service and main meal were excellent. To be fair 3 out of 5 had the sea bass, one fish and chips and I forget the other!!! Wine was very good, not cheap but you pay for what you get. Definitely would come back again.
We called here on Sunday after arriving for a few days caravan stay. It was packed and the Sunday lunches looked amazing!
So we booked for lunch 2 days later which was a lot quieter.
Hubby had Haddock and chips. The Haddock was a really good size, very meaty and pure white and fresh. The batter was lovely and light!
I had 2 starters as a main. Nasi Goreng (I chose it with King Prawns) and Baked Camembert). Both were lovely!
Service was good and friendly.
Would love to go back and try the Sunday Roast if we're back in the area.
Met friends for lunch two of us ordered cheese and onion pie but ended up with steak pie which was delicious. We did smile about this and enjoyed lunch
Don't open until noon but worth a visit. We will return.
Arrived on Saturday evening, without booking a table, but we were lucky to be able to get a table for two pretty quickly. We started with some nibbles, olives and patron peppers, both very good. For the mains we chose battered haddock with hand cut chips, and also sausage and mash, both excellent. All the staff were very friendly and attentive, and special mention to the chef who came out to us for a chat when we asked where the sausage and fish were sourced. Its a lovely traditional pub, in a great area, and can be highly recommended.
Been a couple of times now, and both times not only was the food superb, but service was fantastic too. Lovely attentive staff who really looked after us.
Inside it’s a really nice atmosphere, many quirky period features, we also ate in the garden on our second visit which is stunning. We will be back… many times!
We had a nice little dinner at the restaurant after having moved to this area. The staff was nice and friendly. We had halloumi fries and cheese and onion pie. Food was nice and fresh and periodic ambience. Definitely would be visiting again.
Lovely country pub, beautiful and with traditional furnishings. The bar is cosy and offer a good drinks selection. Food is tasty with the chicken presented as a rich fine dining experience, the pie was more traditional pub fare food with top notch ingredients. Seems to be popular with weddings and the immediate surroundings are charming, particularly the church. Has a beer garden and parking.
Beautiful pub in beautiful surroundings. Even had a visit from the local robin
The Pub was in the most picturesque villages. Ambience was OK for a Sunday. I kid you not the food was mostly cold & the room could have been warmer at the time. Unfortunately we had to send the food back & afterourselves so did some other diners. On return of our food, certain items on the plate still came back cold. Bizarre! We explained to the Restaurant manager on the day who understood we were not happy to complain at all Far from it, we had been before on our travels. Please sort so we can return, ad you have the most quaint place in an amazing village. Thanks for listening x
A solo diner on a Saturday night without a booking is always hard but I had a great experience here.
They were fully booked but the on duty manager,Phil, set up a table in the bar area for me.
They had run out of the vegetarian soup option but the chef offered to make me an asparagus soup from scratch but it would take extra time.
The main course was really lovely too.
All of the waiting staff were very polite and helpful.
I would like to thank Phil, especially, for his attentiveness.
This is a great place to eat .. not too pricy (including drinks we lunched for 25 gbp/head) but the food is very well prepared and tasty. It has extensive outdoor seating, a lot of which is protected against sun and rain. Lower Peover is a lovely little village, and this pub is a great reason to visit.
I recently shot a wedding at the church behind the pub and thought next time I was in the area, I will pop in for lunch. I thought it was a lovely little hidden gem. I wasn't disappointed. The food was amazing! I will definitely be back.
This is a lovely restaurant in a beautiful quiet leafy village in the heart of Cheshire.
The food and wine menu is simple but has enough choice so there's something to suit virtually all pallets, and not particularly expensive.
Service is excellent, as is the quality of the meals.
Set in beautiful surroundings, there's nothing detrimental to say about this great place.
St Oswalds Church is a few steps away from the restaurant and definitely worth a wander round as it's like stepping back in time.
I'll definitely be calling back again soon:-))
