Under new ownership so I thought I'd give it a try. Service was friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. Jumbo battered Sausage, chips and curry sauce all very tasty and a generous portion too.
Had one of the specials mini haddock chips and peas. Fish portion was really good size, I thought they had given me a large but no it was a mini. Batter is amazing and fish so fresh. Definitely recommend wouldn't go anywhere else in Louth.
Tried Davenport's last year when I was up in Louth, wasn't disappointed at all. Friendly place and as for me as I'm fussy with batter because I don't like hard and crunchy batter, I admit it was really nice, spot on for good food. Hope to come up that way and try again this year x
Delicious fish and chips, best I’ve had in ages. The mini fish and chips are a perfect portion for one. Even my two year old nephew had a mini fish and chips, and nearly finished it all. Very yummy!
